Wedding Reception Program Script

A. Welcome Address

Angle: A very good afternoon to everyone and welcome to Rustan and Jenny's
Reception We are done with the solemn part of the celebration and we thank those
people who were with us earlier at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish Church for the wedding
ceremony. And for those who just join us, Welcome! I am Angle Salazar, for the most
exciting part is the reception for our newlyweds in celebration of the beginning of their
new life together.

Franciene: I am Franciene Paris, we are the Masters of Ceremony... we thank you for
gracing this joyful occasion, especially to those who took a leave of absence from work
and to those who traveled miles just to be with us. On behalf of Rustan and Jenny and
their parents, we would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for your presence at this
memorable occasion. It is indeed a pleasure to have you all this afternoon.

B. Introduction

Angle: Before anything else, we would like to acknowledge the key persons who took a
great part in this joyous affair. For without their support, this event would not be made
possible. Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to introduce to you the Parents
of the Bride, Mrs. Jocelyn B. Salazar, the loving sister of the bride, and caring father Mr.
Alfredo P. Bautista. A big round of applause, please.

Franciene: And of course, we are truly happy to have with us here the parents of the
Groom! Mr. Eddie V. Ubalde and Mrs. Chuyen A. Ubalde

Angle: We would like also to acknowledge our Principal Sponsors

Franciene: There you have it, our most distinguished set of principal sponsors. Let us
once again give them a round of applause.

Angle: Next we have the Secondary Sponsors. Starting off with the Sponsors who
lighted the candle during the Candle Ceremony! Ms. marriane s. Bautista and Mr. renil

Franciene: Next in line we have the Sponsors who clothed the bride and the groom as
one during the Veil Ceremony! Ms. mary grace n. Baniqued and Mr. sidd d. garcia

Angle: Then, we have the Sponsors who entwined the groom and the bride with the
cord of love during the Cord Ceremony! Ms. mary joy f. Bautista and Mr. mark john i.
bautista

Franciene: Next we have the Groomsman and the Bridesmaid! Together with the best
man and maid of honor

Angle: The flower girls who showered the wedding aisle with flowers!

Franciene: The Ring Bearer, the Bible Bearer, and the Coin Bearer!

Angle: And finally, may we request everyone to stand up as we introduce the

Franciene: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the moment that we’ve been waiting for, the
Grand Entrance of Mr. and Mrs. Ubalde!

Angle: Let’s welcome them with a round of applause!

Franciene: Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ubalde!

C. Prayer

Angle: before we will start the program, may we request everyone to please remain
standing for the prayer

PRAYER

Franciene: This time I would like to request Mr. and Mrs. Ubalde to stay at the center for
their first dance as a couple.

D. Traditions
1. DANCE

Angle: Mr. and Mrs. Ubalde, are you now ready for your First Dance?

AFTER 1 MINUTE DANCING

Franciene: Partner, ano kaya sa tingin mo favorite color nila?

Angle: Well, sabi nila, violet is GOOD, yellow is BETTER but blue is the BEST!
Franciene: Hehe baka naman po, ninong, ninang, family, and friends

Angle: Yes po, wag na po mahiya you can now have the floor

WAIT FOR THEM TO FINISH DANCING

Franciene: To everyone who danced with our bride our groom today, thank you so
much. And thank you also for decorating our bride’s wedding gown and groom’s
wedding tuxedo with colorful papers, most especially with the blue ones. He.he.he.

2. SLICING OF CAKE

Franciene: Now, let’s have the slicing of the wedding cake. I would like to request Mr.
Rustan to place your hand over the hand of Mrs. Jenny as you slice your cake in 3, 2,
1….. Slice!!!

Angle: Mr. Rustan, may you support your wife throughout your marriage
wholeheartedly. And Mrs.Jenny, may you take care of your husband and your family
with all your heart.

Franciene: You may now spoon-feed your partner with a slice of your wedding cake in
3, 2, 1,…

Angle: Say Ah…ah…ah… “I love You” Yeeey!!!! Sana all…

Franciene: Yeeey! So sweet

3. Dove releasing

Franciene: The next part of the program, the bride and groom will now do the dove
release. Let me call on the closest friend of the bride and groom, Mr. ______ to officiate
the dove.

(Instructions: While Newlyweds comes forward and prepare for the dove release,
background music starts playing...)

Angle: The two doves signify Rustan and Jenny being released to start a new journey
together. Like the two pairs of dove, whatever happens they will always try to seek the
comfort of each other and their home together. This is where they know that they will
find love. A dove always chooses one mate for life, and signifies love, faithfulness, joy
and hope.

Franciene: Rustan and Jenny are now ready so we will now release the doves. At the
count of three, release the doves. Ready when you are...one...two... three and off... they
go!!! That was really beautiful.
 4. MESSAGE

Angle: At this point in time, let’s hear some good wishes for our newlyweds. The first to
give them a message is Mr. Alfredo, the father of the bride.

Franciene: and next is the mother of the groom, Mrs. Chuyen Ubalde

Angle: Thank you parents for the heart whelming messages for the newlyweds

Angle: Once again, congratulations to our newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ubalde. And this
time, before we proceed to the lunch let’s first have the newlyweds give us a message
of appreciation.

Franciene: Thank you for that overwhelming message Mr. and Mrs. Ubalde

Angle: May I request everybody to please stand for the Prayer Before Meals.
