General Guidelines

Codethon Rules and Guidelines


General Rules:
1. Team Composition:
Each team must consist of exactly 3 participants.
A participant can join only one team.
2. Eligibility:
The competition is open to students from all years and all colleges.
Round 1: Online Presentation
1. Problem Statements:
Problem statements will be shared with participants in advance.
Teams must prepare their solutions and present them during the online round.
2. Date and Format:
The online presentation round will be conducted on 21st January.
Teams will showcase their solutions via a virtual platform.
3. Judging Criteria:
Clarity of the solution.
Innovation and creativity.
Practicality and feasibility.
Final Round: On-Campus Hackathon
1. Duration and Venue:
The final round will be a 6-hour hackathon held on campus.
2. Product Demonstration:
Finalists must demonstrate their final product to the judges.
Teams will receive a task to modify or improve their product during the hackathon to
validate its authenticity and adaptability.
3. Judging Criteria:
Functionality and completeness of the product.
Ability to implement modifications efficiently.
Creativity and innovation
4 Legitimacy Check:
Use of ChatGPT or any other AI tools is strictly prohibited.
Any unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification.

Additional Information:
Snacks:
Snacks will be provided during the final round.

Code of Conduct:
Teams are expected to adhere to ethical practices and respect fellow participants and
organizers.
Note:
The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the rules and format, which will be
communicated to the participants in advance.
