Import Equipment in *.stp format

Dear all,

In my current project, many of main Equipment vendors provided


their 3d drawings in *.stp files with large sizes reach to 350mb

where the E3D getting very slow after importing and can't deal with
the model smoothly or add them to generate 2d views in E3D

deva AVEVA E3D is capable to handle these things.

why don't you modify step file after importing, may remove

Posts: 3,555 to 20mb which is handle to easy.

corrado Just to let you know that you can also simplify (and import ) many
CAD formats other then STEP:

You need to contact your Sales representative to activate either

AVEVA Model Simplification licence or/and AVEVA Native Model

AVEVA Model Simplification only applies to CAD Model format and
