Oral Group Report Guidelines

Topic: Career Paths for Mechanical Engineers

1. Report Contents

a. History and Short Introduction


b. Full Detail Description of the Career Path
c. Required skills, educational backgrounds, roles and responsibilities
d. Presentation of steps/guidelines on how to attain the said skills while still being
an ME student. Mention and discuss the courses/subjects in the program that
needed to be mastered to gain such skills.
e. The challenges of the said career path are facing now and their possible
solutions
f. Research of the Estimation of the Career paths’ pay grade/salary here in the
Philippines. Include the name of Companies/Industries that demand the Career.
g. Conclusion (Personal Sharing of your thoughts about the career)

2. Flow of Discussion

a. The discussion should be chronologically arranged according to the Report


Content guidelines.
b. The whole discussion should be finished and concluded in a span of 50-60
minutes
c. The group should conduct a class participation of at least 5 students who will
correctly answer your questions. This should be done after the whole discussion.
The students who will participate will receive a score incentive for the next quiz.
3. Criteria for grading:

a. Audiences’ attentiveness and participation – 20%


b. Visual aids and materials – 10%
c. Presentation Skills (Individual) – 30%
d. Content of the Report (Individual) – 30%
e. Time Management – 10%
