� Founded in Germany by Five Former IBM Engineers in 1972
� Five IBM engineers from the AI department (Dietmar Hopp, Klaus Tschira,
Hans-Werner Hector, Hasso Plattner, and Claus Wellenreuther, all from Mannheim,
Baden-W�rttemberg)

In 1980's SAP developed and released Two Tier Architecture by using IBM server

In 1986 Sap developed a Programming Language called ABAP
