The Backlink Ranking Machine

Create Your Own FREE "Private Blog Network"

and Build Your First 9 Backlinks in Under 60 Minutes
Written by Andy Black

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for showing an interest in my FREE training.
In this training guide I’m going to show you how to build your OWN private blog
network using completely free resources and websites.
Not only that, but also show you how to create high-quality, 100% unique content for
your blog network completely FREE of charge.
That’s right! You won’t need to spend a dime to implement this training.
Ok, let’s get started, shall we?

What is a Private Blog Network?

It is a collection or group of websites that are built with the aim to provide backlinks
to your ‘money’ sites.
When done correctly, these backlinks can boost your rankings resulting in more
organic visitors to your websites.
Your private blog network can also boost the ranking of your YouTube videos in the
YouTube search results – and I will be sharing a case study with you shortly that will
illustrate this.
The true meaning of a private blog network (also known as a PBN) is that it is private.
You control the websites, the content, and the backlinks.
The more people that know or use a specific blog network, the riskier it can be.
In this training PDF the aim is to build a private blog network for your sole use. You
can of course use it to build backlinks to client websites etc, but only you will have the
login details to these websites, and only you will be able to post content and
backlinks on them.

Do I Need a Hosting Account or Domain Name(s)?

With this method you don’t need to invest in any hosting packages or domain names.
It’s all 100% FREE as we are using FREE platforms that host your sites for you.

Niche Specific Blog Networks

There’s no limit to the number of networks you can build. However, it is highly
recommended that you keep each network tightly focused on one specific niche.
If you’re wanting to build backlinks for plumbing websites and businesses, you would
theme your entire network of blogs around plumbing, or at least around a broad topic
such as ‘Home Improvement’.
If you choose a topic such as ‘Home Improvement’ you’ll be able to build backlinks to
websites within any home improvement type niche or industry. Such as roof repair
companies, landscapers, joiners etc.
When you are building backlinks on a group of blogs that are all highly related to your
chosen niche / industry, those backlinks will be more relevant and hold more ranking
power with regards to Google.
Once you have decided on your chosen niche / topic, it’s time to start building your
FREE private blog network.

Let’s Start Building Your Network

The first task is to create a FREE account on the blogging platforms below.
Upon setting up each blog you may want to create and publish your first post /
backlink to save a little time. Alternatively, you can just login afterwards and create
your posts then.

List of Free Blogging Platforms

The first task is to create a FREE account on the following sites. Remember, you only
need to create the FREE account. You do NOT need to signup to a paid version for
this.
https://www.blogger.com/
https://www.tumblr.com/
https://www.wix.com/
https://wordpress.com/
https://www.weebly.com/
https://medium.com/
https://www.jimdo.com/
https://penzu.com/
https://www.livejournal.com/
This will give you a private blog network containing 9 different blogs, and 9 different
sources of backlinks.
7 of the websites above will provide you with DoFollow backlinks whilst 2 will provide
NoFollow backlinks. DoFollow backlinks are better as they pass on ‘link juice’ that
actively lean into Google’s ranking algorithm.
However, NoFollow backlinks also help you to create a natural backlink profile as well
as build relevance. This can help your rankings overall.
There are more platforms like these that offer FREE accounts that you can of course
add to this list to grow your network – but these 9 sites will get you started.

Check Your Blog Settings and Customizations

As you’re creating each account and setting up your blogs, be sure to check your
blogs settings. For example, with wordpress.com your blog will automatically be set
to ‘private’ by default. You need to go into the settings and uncheck the checkbox
that is labelled something like “Discourage search engines from indexing your posts
and pages”.
You are normally asked to name your blog, choose a sub-domain, and add a tagline.
Make sure that what you choose is relevant and suited to your chosen niche or
industry.
For example, if your blog network is purely to build backlinks to a plumbing website,
then you could call one of the blogs “The Plumbing Expert”. You could call another
one “All About Plumbing, Heating and DIY”.
You get the gist.

Creating Posts: Content and Backlinks

Once you have created a blog, you’re able to create a post and publish content to the
web.
For this we just need to apply the basics. These are:
- A relevant post title.
- Relevant content.
- A backlink (or possibly multiple backlinks).
Note: I’m going to delve into the different backlinks types a little later in this report.
For this training report, I’m going to use a campaign that I started setting up a few
days ago (at the time of writing this guide).
(I created 7 backlinks – and just created another 2 today).
The keyword I was targeting is “paraphrasing tool”, and the entity that I’m trying to
rank higher is a YouTube video (in the YouTube search results).
A Little Backstory
A couple of years ago I created and ranked a video targeting the keyword
“Paraphrasing Tool”. It was ranking #1 within a few weeks and to date it has
generated nearly 350,000 views.
However, as the video is aging the ranking had dropped to position 6 in the YouTube
search results. It had dropped to this position a couple of months ago.
So, I created a FREE private blog network themed around “online marketing” and built
a handful of contextual backlinks to this YouTube video – to help push this video
higher again.
After a few days (and not all the links were indexed at that point), the video had
jumped from position 6 to position 2.
(Edit: Months later due to the shear age of the video the ranking had eventually
dropped again)
So, for this training guide I’m going to reference this particular case study.
However, if you’d like to see video proof that these ‘blog network backlinks’ work, feel
free to WATCH THIS VIDEO HERE to see a different ranking case study.

Writing Your Post Titles

You really don’t need to put too much thought into writing the titles. They are
important as they will add relevance and weight to your backlinks. However, they just
need to be short, descriptive and include your keyword – or a variation of your
keyword.
Here are the 10 titles that I wrote for the backlink campaign targeting the keyword
“paraphrasing tool”.

• What is Paraphrasing and Why is it Useful?

• Why is Paraphrasing Useful?
• Paraphrasing: Learn How to Paraphrase Using a FREE Tool
• Paraphrasing Tools: How to Rewrite Articles Using Baby Steps
• WHY IS PARAPHRASING USEFUL AND HOW TO DO IT?
• Paraphrasing Sentences to Create New, Unique Articles
• All About Paraphrasing to Create New Content
• 3 Paraphrasing Tips to Write Better Content
• 5 Paraphrasing Tips to Help You Paraphrase More Effectively
• How to Paraphrase Text Using a Tool
I didn’t put much thought into these post titles but I did ensure they were all tightly
related to ‘paraphrasing’. Around 3 of the titles also include ‘Tool’ or ‘Tools’ too.
When Google crawls these pages those page titles will say to Google: “Hey Google,
this page is about paraphrasing”. As a result, it will add more weight to my backlinks.
HOWEVER, there’s a FREE tool that we are going to be using to not only create the
titles of these posts, but also ALL of the content.
I’m sure you’ve heard of this tool by now as it was first released in November 2022 –
It’s called Chat GPT. It is an A.I. language model that will perform any contextual task
you ask it to, and it’s conversational too so it will learn and remember all of the input
during any specific chat.
So, with this in mind I’m going to ask Chat GPT to write me 9 different titles. One for
each blog post, all related to the keyword ‘Paraphrasing Tool’.
(First, go and create a FREE Chat GPT account HERE)
It’s FREE although you can subscribe and access Chat GPT Plus for $20 per month
which is insanely cheap – and which offers a few perks and benefits.
As you can see below, I created a “New Chat”, and then I asked Chat GPT a simple
request:
write 9 different blog post titles that are all themed around the keyword 'paraphrasing
tool'.
The first title might not be the most suitable, but you can ask it to write you 20 titles
instead, and then just select the 9 from those.
Now let’s create the blog post content for each blog. I’m going to show you TWO
ways to do this, depending on how much content you want to create.

Creating Your Content Using Chat GPT

Okay, here is the fun part! And it is so easy too.
With these blog posts we do not really need much content, but if you want to go a
little deeper to create more content, those posts will likely increase the strength of
the backlinks.
Method #1: Creating a short piece of content based off one of the generated titles.
We stay in the same chat / conversation as the one we used to generate all the titles.
We simply ask Chat GPT to write 500-600 words of content themed around the title.
Here’s a sample prompt so you can see what I mean:
write between 500-600 words of content themed around this blog post title: "How
Paraphrasing Tools Can Help You Avoid Plagiarism"
The screenshot below only shows part of the content that was generated as all the
content wouldn’t fit within the screenshot.
Method #2: We ask Chat GPT to create an outline for a blog post using one of the
titles.
I’ll use the same title in this example to show you a comparison. Here is the prompt I
used:
write an outline for a blog post for this title: "How Paraphrasing Tools Can Help You
Avoid Plagiarism"
As you can see below, Chat GPT write a complete blog post outline.

What we do next is ask Chat GPT to write an entire blog post based on that outline.
As Chat GPt is conversational, we do not have to paste in that outline again. It will
know that we are referring to it.
The prompt I used was:
write an entire blog post based on the outline above.
Again, I could not fit all the content within the screenshot, but Chat GPT wrote 848
words, which was more than in the first method.
There’s lots of other tips and tricks to create even more content and go deeper, but
that’s for a different day (and guide).
(I share lots of strategies and case studies on my YouTube Channel so be sure to head
HERE quickly to subscribe to my channel)
Okay, so far, we have looked at creating the titles, and also the content. What we will
look at next is “anchortext”.
Creating Anchortext and Backlinks
Backlinks is the final part of creating your blog posts, so I’ll explain what the 3
different types of anchor text are, and also share my examples with you from my
“Paraphrasing Tool” SEO campaign.

The Three Backlink Types

Keyword Rich / Contextual
This is clickable text (backlink) on your webpage that includes your target keyword or
a variation of it, in some form.
Here are the keyword rich / contextual anchor text baclinks that I included within my
SEO campaign.
As you can see from the various screenshots above, the clickable links are all related
to ‘paraphrasing’ or ‘paraphrasing tool’.
These help to tell Google what my YouTube video is about, that my backlinks are
pointing to.
However, it’s important NOT to just use keyword-rich / contextual anchor text when
building lots of links.
So, let’s take a look at the next backlink type.
Universal Anchortext
This is clickable text (backlink) on your webpage that includes words such as “click
here”, “read more”, or something that isn’t related to your keyword.
It’s more an instructional type of wording.
Here’s an example of universal anchor text.
The clickable anchor text in the link above reads “this short video here”. It’s
instructional and this type of anchor text is used naturally by many – and after all we
want out backlinks to look natural.
The third and final anchortext type is raw anchor text.
Raw Anchortext
Raw anchor text is the actual URL itself. Here is an example of raw anchortext.

Raw anchortext is commonly used online so therefore looks natural.

It’s important to use a combination of all three of these backlink types.
Remember, Google will look at the page title and content on your posts to determine
what the page is about, and will add that ‘relevance’ to your backlink(s) regardless of
what type of anchortext you use.
So, don’t worry too much about ‘not’ always using keyword-rich anchortext. Google
will look at the surrounding text, keywords and content and will get the relevance
from there.

Linking to Multiple Pages

If you want to add more than one backlink to your posts then you can do so, but be
sure not to add too many. Ideally, no more than three backlinks to your website (or
client’s website).
Also, each of the backlinks should point to a different URL. For example you could
have one backlink point to your homepage, another to a blog post, and another to a
different blog post.
Don’t have more than one backlink point to the same URL. Each backlink should point
to a different URL.
However, adding just one backlink is fine too.
Linking to Other 3rd Party Websites
It’s natural to see webpages across the web link to various websites. It is also good
practice to sometimes link to another website or page that you do NOT own.
It’s important though NOT to link to a competitor. Informational websites such as
Wikipedia is a good example. That site doesn’t compete with you, but it is seen as an
authority in the eyes of Google – So linking to relevant sources on Wikipedia can help
to make your blog network look more natural.
Let’s say you have a blog network containing 20 blogs and you create a post on all
those 20 blogs, and the only backlink that you include in those posts point to YOUR
website. It’ll look unnatural, right?
But linking to other relevant sources and articles that aren’t in direct competition with
you, as well as linking to your OWN websites and content, will look natural.
Linking to high authority resources will also increase ‘user experience’ which Google
loves.
You can also vary the position / placement of your backlinks within your content too.
Be sure to mix it up a little bit. Some posts have your backlink(s) in the first
paragraph. Others have them in the middle of your content, and the rest have near
the bottom. Almost like a “Call to Action”.
Creating Your Posts
We’ve just covered the three components required to build posts for your new private
blog network. What you need to do now is log into each of your blog accounts and
create a new post.
Add a title, and the content that you have generated inside Chat GPT to each of the
FREE blogs that you created, and then add one or more backlinks using the guidance
provided in this training report.
Here’s an example of a basic blog post.
You can also add a little bit of formatting if you wish too, although only bold or
underline one or two words / phrases that are relevant to your target keyword.
Make sure you don’t go crazy with the formatting though. Only one or two words /
phrases is fine.
This isn’t required so it’s down to your personal choice.
Here’s an example of a blog post that has a little bit of formatting.
Getting Your New Blogs and Posts Indexed in Google
It’s important that Google finds your new blogs and posts otherwise the backlinks you
have just built won’t yield any value or ranking power.
Google needs to know about your blogs and posts so that they can ‘crawl’ them and
list them in their search index.
With new websites or blogs one way to get them indexed is to post the URLs on social
media sites, or post the URLs in some form to busy, active websites such as Reddit,
YouTube, Forums etc.
Once Google has indexed your blogs it will (should) also pick up future blog posts as
you publish them, although this can be a timely process as they might not crawl your
blogs that often at first.

Adding Supporting Pages to Add More Ranking Power

If you don’t mind spending a little more time on your backlink campaigns then you
can make your backlinks more powerful by doing some internal linking.
This is where you create one or more additional pages / posts, add some relevant
content on them and then LINK those pages / posts to your ORIGINAL posts.
This means you’re pointing some internal backlinks from other pages to your original
pages / backlinks.
You can even add multiple pages, and link each of those to your original post(s).
I call this a “Wiki Bomb” but more about that in a future training report.

Building Up Authority and Activity for Your Blog Network

The great part about building your own private blog network is that the more posts
you publish on it, the more authority it will gain, and the more ‘ranking power’ it will
have.
Every post (providing it is relevant) that you add to each of your blogs will grow the
blog slightly. It will show Google that these blogs are active, sharing unique content,
and growing consistently.
Your new blog network isn’t a ‘one time use’ thing. You can use it to build relevant
backlinks to ANY related website, video, page, or post – whenever you like.
The more content you add to it, the stronger it will become, and the better results
you’ll see.
Remember, if you want to build backlinks for a different niche, or maybe you want to
get clients in a specific niche – build a new blog network for that niche. Do not use
the same network of blogs for all niches and topics.
