SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
(React & FastAPI)
We are seeking a passionate Software Developer to design, develop, and deploy
robust enterprise web applications that integrate actuarial, financial and data science
models. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering cutting-edge fintech
solutions that empower our clients to make informed decisions. This role is ideal for

3.1 Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements


and translate them into technical specifications for enterprise web applications.
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance, secure enterprise web
applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Apply systematic problem-solving skills to address complex software design and
development challenges, emphasizing a holistic engineering approach.
• Work closely with Actuarial Model Developers and Data Scientists to integrate
actuarial and data science models into enterprise web applications, ensuring
seamless functionality and user experience.
• Implement and maintain front-end and back-end components of enterprise
web applications, with a focus on clean and efficient code.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and security
of developed applications.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to optimize deployment processes and
ensure continuous integration and delivery of software solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to
drive innovation in software development processes.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior
team members.

3.3 Skills

• Strong experience in React and TypeScript.


• Proficiency with modern styling frameworks, including Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with UI component libraries such as shadcn components (or
equivalent).
• Solid understanding of back-end development using Python and frameworks like
FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks: PyTest for Python and Jest for
TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker; Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL,
MongoDB).
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies, including Scrum.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related


field.
• 2 + years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python, Typescript and
Javascript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, and Fast API
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Developer Associate, or Solutions Architect is
an added advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping frameworks
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
