ABSTRACT
The Student Community Platform is a MERN stack-based web application that creates exclusive university communities,
enabling students to connect, exchange resources, and engage socially in a secure environment. It features student
email authentication with OTP verification, interest-based personalization, daily commodity exchange, and a university-
specific social media network.
A unique live nearby connection feature allows students to discover and interact with peers using Bluetooth or location-
based discovery, enhancing real-world networking. Built with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, the platform
aims to bridge gaps within universities. Future enhancements may include AI-driven matchmaking, blockchain-based
verification, and job/internship listings, ensuring a more interactive and resourceful student experience.

In today’s fast-paced student life, there is a growing need for an exclusive digital space where
students can connect, collaborate, and support each other. While social media platforms exist, they do
not cater specifically to student communities within universities. Similarly, marketplaces and
networking apps are scattered, making it difficult for students to find relevant connections and
resources within their own campus
