Windows Installation
1. Download the Media Creation Tool: Go to the official Microsoft website and
download the Media Creation Tool for the version of Windows you want to install.
2. Create a Bootable USB Drive or DVD: Follow the prompts in the Media Creation
Tool to create a bootable USB drive or DVD. You’ll need a USB drive with at least
8GB of space or a blank DVD1.
1. Insert the USB Drive or DVD: Insert the bootable USB drive or DVD into your
computer.
2. Restart Your Computer: Restart your computer and immediately press the key to
enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (commonly F2, F12, Delete, or Esc).
3. Change Boot Order: In the BIOS/UEFI settings, navigate to the Boot tab and set
your USB drive or DVD as the primary boot device. Save your changes and exit the
BIOS/UEFI settings1.
1. Boot from Installation Media: Your computer should restart and boot from the USB
drive or DVD.
2. Select Language and Region: Choose your preferred language, time, and keyboard
settings.
3. Click "Install Now": Click the "Install Now" button to start the installation process.
4. Enter Product Key: If you have a product key, enter it now; otherwise, you can
choose to enter it later.
5. Accept License Terms: Read and accept the license terms by checking the box and
clicking "Next".
6. Choose Installation Type: Select "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)" for a
fresh installation.
7. Select Partition: Choose the partition where you want to install Windows and click
"Next". If your drive has multiple partitions, pick one to install Windows1.
8. Follow On-Screen Instructions: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the
installation process.
1. Set Up Windows: After the installation is complete, you’ll need to set up your user
account, password, and other preferences.
2. Install Drivers and Updates: Install any necessary drivers for your hardware and
update Windows to the latest version.
