Construction - The main radio system consists of two major assemblies, which are the radio and battery,
and also includes an optional push-to-talk microphone speaker attachment accessory. The battery pack
enclosure contains two lithium-ion cells and a protection circuit board to ensure the battery is intrinsically
safe on its own at the battery output terminal. The nominal battery voltage is 7.6 V, with a maximum trip
current of 1.5 A
Ratings - The HD795Ex, PD79aEx, and PD71aEx radios are rated for use in an ambient temperature
range of -20 ºC to +50 ºC.

Construction - The electronics of the PT790EX, PT710EX, PD79aIS, and PD71aIS are located on two
circuit boards consisting of a main board and a display board except the PT710Ex and PD71aIS do not
have a display. The radios are equipped with a removable of Lithium-Ion 1800 mA battery part number
BL1813-Ex. The battery pack enclosure contains two lithium ions cells and a protection circuit board. The
nominal battery voltage is 7.6 V, with a maximum trip current of 1.8 A.
Ratings - The model PT790EX, PT710EX, PD79aIS, and PD71aIS are rated for use in an ambient
temperature ranges of -20 °C to +50 °C and -20 °C to +55 °C.
