Adobe InDesign is the leading DTP software for designing and layout of professional documents
for the web, print, as well as for mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones. InDesign is a
desktop publishing software application for creating flyers, brochures, magazines, and books.
Difference Between InDesign CC and CS
Earlier versions of InDesign used the CS designation, which represented Creative Suite.
InDesign CC (Creative Cloud) is subscription-based, requiring a monthly or annual fee, while
InDesign CS was available as a perpetual license which could be purchased and used forever
with a one-time fee. All the features necessary for working on projects are present in both the
CC and CS versions of InDesign.

Components of InDesign Window
1.Title Bar :- The title bar is at the top of the window and it displays the name of the application
and name of the document. If you are working with a new document, by default, it is named
Untitled-1. On the right side of the title bar, you can see minimize, maximize/restore and close
buttons.
2.Menu Bar :- The menu bar is displayed just below the title bar. It contains File, Edit, Layout,
Type, Notes, Object, Table, View, Window and Help as menus. In each menu, there are sets of
commands, which can be used to perform various operations in InDesign.
3.Control Panel :- The control panel is placed just below the menu bar.Control panel is used to
edit just about any element you have selected in InDesign. This panel is context sensitive, so it
changes depending on which element you have selected on a page.
4.Panels :- Panels are a collection of A settings for specific element such as pages, stroke,
color and so on. For example, you can control pages with the Pages panel. This panel allows
you to arrange, add, and delete pages in your document. You can also navigate among pages
with this
panel.
5.Tool Box :- The InDesign Toolbox is a floating box. It can be moved to any location on the
screen. To find out the name of a particular tool, hold your mouse over tool until the yellow tip
pops up
Q. Add New Pages to an InDesign Document?
To add a page, do any of the following.
■To add a page after the active page or spread, click the New Page button in the Pages panel
or choose Layout > Pages > Add Page. The new page uses the same master as the existing
active page.
■To add multiple pages to the end of the document, choose File > Document Setup. In the
Document Setup dialog box, specify the total number of pages for the document. InDesign adds
pages after last page or spread.
■To delete a page, select it in the Pages panel and click the Delete Selected Pages button. The
selected page is removed from document.

1. Open your InDesign document.
2. Go to "Window" menu in the top menu bar.
3. From the dropdown menu, select "Pages" to open the Pages panel.

(Adobe InDesign Document), IDML (InDesign Markup Language), or PDF (Portable Document
Format). Select the appropriate format based on your needs.
