What are model verbs? Why we use them? Give examples and make different types of exercises to practice with
answer keys.

Modal verbs are special words that help other verbs. They tell us about the possibility, ability, or
necessity of something happening. For example, "I can swim" uses the modal verb "can" to show
that you have the ability to swim. Modal verbs are like helpers that give extra meaning to the main
verb.

Some common modal verbs are "can," "could," "may," "might," "will," "would," "shall," "should,"
"must," and "ought to." Each modal verb has a different meaning. For example, "may" means it's
possible, while "must" means it's necessary. You can use modal verbs to make requests, give
permission, or make suggestions.

Here's an example: "May I borrow your pencil?" uses the modal verb "may" to politely ask for
permission. You can also use modal verbs to talk about the future. For example, "I might go to the
park later" uses the modal verb "might" to show that it's possible you will go to the park. Modal
verbs are important because they help us express ourselves more clearly and accurately.
