Guideline for Lab Report

1. Cover Page: Fill up every information on the cover page. It will be provided in the Google
Classroom/Canvas.
2. Data Table: As per given in the Lab Manual. Fill out the data table with the neatly with the
proper units if necessary, from the data collected from the setup.
3. Calculation and Result: Show what you have done (any calculation part) in the lab during the
experiment with the proper unit and steps followed by the instructions given in the class.
4. Graph: Attach the graph paper. Use at least 80% of the graph paper. Label the axis of the graph
accordingly with necessary units and Graph Heading.
5. Questions: Answer the questions which are asked in the manual. Give proper explanation and
show mathematical calculations where needed.
6. Discussion: Write in your own words about the experiment, what you have achieved/observed,
the difficulties you have faced, % error and how it could have been minimized and etc. (0.5-1
page)

NOTE:
1. You need to complete and submit the above-mentioned sections in your lab report.
2. Provide the data table with similar decimal place values.
3. Use standard form where necessary.
4. Draw the graph using pencil and show the marked point values in brackets.
5. Take the reading from the best fit line graph where calculations are needed.
6. Answer questions briefly and with proper explanation.
7. Using bullet point is preferable in Discussion part.
8. Plagiarism will result in deduction of marks.

*** Lab Reports contain 50-60 % of the total mark, make sure you take proper care, which
includes understanding and less scribal correction, while preparing the Lab Reports
