In A World Full of AI
In A World Full of AI
In a world full of AI, in a world of digital age. AI immersed as a salvation to us who went through
a pandemic, but depending on AI is the backbone of our collapsing creativity and many other things like
our imagination and judgement. However, let us dive deeper to creativity, we let ourselves to be
controlled by it because it gives us a fast and glamorous outcome of our works that we see as "creative",
but who even wants a fast with no fun? As mentioned by Albert Einstein, "Creativity is intelligence
having fun."
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to computer systems capable of performing complex tasks that
only a human could do, such as reasoning, making decisions, or solving problems. However, in the article
written by Levis, M. (2024), he said, “Most of the AI applications we encounter today are examples of
narrow or weak AI. These systems excel at specific tasks but lack the versatility and understanding
inherent in human intelligence.” Which opens the argument that we have something that AI could never
comprehend; Emotions, along with our own intelligence and understanding, something that we could
always use to improve our creativity and IQ.
Furthermore, interacting with other people face to face can also be a way to feel more
connected into the real world. Hailey, L. (2023) asserts that, “Presence and listening are like a master
combo for connection. On the other hand, mindfulness and presence in interaction tend to enrich
relationships.” Connecting with nature can also be a breath of fresh air in this world full of cellphones,
gadgets, and AI. A fun hangout or road trip to the province with some friends or family may be a relaxing
escape.
On top of that, engaging in enjoyable extra-curricular activities can take off your mind off of your
phone for a while. Developing new hobbies and enhancing skills in activities is a refreshing start of a new
life. Kashdan, T (2022) emphasizes that, “When we are open to new possibilities, we find them. Be open
and skeptical of everything.” Don’t let AI take what makes you unique. Finding yourself is an important
thing rather than finding answers on AI.
