25. The curved surface area of right circular cylinder of height 14 cm is 88 cm2 . Find the diameter of the base of the
cylinder.

Answer all the questions from 26 to 31. Each question carries 3 score. ( 6 × 3 = 18)
26. In an isosceles triangle 𝐴𝐵𝐶, with 𝐴𝐵 = 𝐴𝐶, the bisectors of ∠𝐵 and ∠𝐶 intersect each other at 𝑂. Join 𝐴 to 𝑂.
Show that:
(i) 𝑂𝐵 = 𝑂𝐶
(ii) 𝐴𝑂 bisects ∠𝐴
27. A hemisphere dome of a building needs to be painted. If the circumference of the base of the dome is 17.6 m , find
the cost of painting it, given the cost of painting is Rs. 5 per 100 cm2
28. 𝐴𝐵𝐶𝐷 is a quadrilateral in which 𝑃, 𝑄, 𝑅 and 𝑆 are mid-points of the sides 𝐴𝐵, 𝐵𝐶, CD and DA. AC is a diagonal.
Show that:
i. SR ∥ AC and SR = 1/2AC
ii. 𝑃𝑄 = 𝑆𝑅
iii PQRS is a parallelogram.
29. If one diagonal of the rhombus is five times than other diagonal and also sum of two diagonals is 𝟏𝟖𝟎 cm . Then,
find the area of the rhombus.
30. If the internal opposite angle is 51∘ , then find the external angle of a cyclic quadrilateral.
31. If the four angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 3: 5: 6: 10. Find its smallest angle.

Answer all the questions from 32 to 35. Each question carries 5 Mark. ( 4 × 5 = 20)
32. A storage tank consists of a circular cylinder, with a hemisphere adjoined on either end. If the external diameter of
the cylinder be 1.4 m . Total length be 5 m , what will be the cost of painting it on the outside at the rate of Rupees
10 per square metre?
33. 𝐴𝐵𝐶𝐷 is a cyclic quadrilateral whose diagonals 𝐴𝐶 and 𝐵𝐷 intersect at 𝑃. If 𝐴𝐵 = 𝐷𝐶, then prove that
i) △ 𝑃𝐴𝐵 ≅△ 𝑃𝐷𝐶
ii) PA = PD and PC = PB
iii) 𝐴𝑂 ∥ 𝐵𝐶
34. A well with 10 m inside diameter is dug 14 m deep. Earth taken out of it is spread all around to a width of 5 m to
form an embankment. Find the height of the embankment.

apples to give to children and adults working there. Manoj donated 2 apples to each children and 3 apples to each
adult working there along with birthday cake. He distributed 60 total apples.
(a) How to represent the above situation in linear equations in two variables by taking the number of children as ' x
' and the number of adults as ' y '?

37. Read the following text and answer the questions given below. Maths teacher of class 9 gave students coloured
paper in the shape of quadrilateral and then ask the students to make a parallelogram from it by using paper

There is a square park 𝐴𝐵𝐶𝐷 in the middle of Saket colony in Delhi. Four children Deepak, Ashok, Arjun and
Deepa went to play with their balls. The colour of the ball of Ashok, Deepak, Arjun and Deepa are red, blue,
