Considering the need of the area and the people, this road has been proposed
under UD Program and
1(b). Socil-Economic is included in ……..
Status:-
Farming is main occupation of people of this area and rice is the main agricultural
crop. Along with it other seasonal crops like maize and millets are also grown in abundance. Cash
crops like Banana, Pineapple, Orange, Sugarcane etc are also grown in plenty. The local economy of
people entirely depends on agricultural produces. Hence, road connectivity to this village is of
immense velue so as to market the surplus agricultura products to the nearest main market, Along
and the neighboring markets in the plains of Assam. There is no doubt that the economic status of
the people would enhance considerable by quick transportation facilities which would attain with the
construction of proposed road. The construction would also contribute considerably in social
2. Alignment:
The entire alignment is passing through plains and undulationin nature following
the varying gradient of 1 in 60 UP//DN. Alignment had fixed proper survey carried out before cutting
of the existing formation.
3. Land Acquisition:
In general, there is no system of land acquisition for construction of village roads in
prevalence in the state. Although the road will be passing through the village land either of individual
or of community, land need not be acquired nor any compensation has to be given officially.
However, the individual land owner is compensated for the land he otherwise lost due to
construction of the road by awarding supply of locally available material.
Retaining wall and breast wall has been proposed for protection works.
12. Specifications:
IRC specification, MoRTH m and RRM are adopted.
13. Environomental Issue and Mitigation Measures:
Since this road is a new proposal, however there will be no damage done to the
environment during execution and utmost care will be taken while execution the work and standing
trees near by the road will be taken care up. No used of explosive involved in the construction there
by no sound and air pollution.
14. Rates:
Rates are exclusively based on SoR'2018 specially prepared for -------------- works.
15. Estimate:
Provision for informatory and cautionary road signs etc. has been provided in
addition to principal components of works as per details in the abstract.
16. Construction Programme:
E.4.3 Alignment
The alignment of the proposed four lane road closely follows the existing alignment of the road. As the project
road passing through built-up area, thereby restricting most of the freedom for engineering decision required
for fixation of geometrics. Hence, at built-up areas, lower range of standards have been followed in the fixation
of geometrics. Best efforts have been made for concentric widening of the road to avoid large scale
building/land acquisition. However, in the reaches with substandard geometrics, the alignment has been
changed slightly deviating from the existing center line of the road.
