Course Introduction
Entrepreneurship has been found to be a vital part of the economy; and management gurus believe
that a good focus on this would perhaps get us out of many economic and social crises. This course is intended
to inculcate in students the spirit of innovation and creativity and provide them with an environment where
they can exhibit their entrepreneurial ideas in a practical way. The pragmatic approach of the course
endeavors to deal with various facets of entrepreneurship and is meant to meet the requirements of
management students. The learnings from the indigenous Asian entrepreneurial families will be part of the
course. There will be 16 weeks in total, and thus this course outline has been developed accordingly. Students
will be required to maintain folder (Entrepreneurship Diary) of assignments / case studies.

An important course requirement is active involvement in class discussion. Your participation is essential—
for both your own learning and that of other students. Much of the learning will take place in our collective
discussion of the business cases.
