Step 1

Load the model file

a) Invoke the Open File dialog in one of the


following ways:
1. File > Open from the menu bar
2. Folder icon from the Home group
3. Ctrl + O
4. Drag-and-drop the file from the folder
Hint: A Load File dialog opens when you
drag-and-drop a file into HyperMesh.
You can open or import any file type using this
method.
Multi-model loading is not supported.

b) Browse to the file:


..\01-Interface\1A\Taurus.hm

c) Click on Open. The model appears in the


modeling window.

Step 2

Rotate, Pan and Zoom the model

a) Middle-click and drag around to rotate the


model.
• Note the small x in the screen indicating the
rotational center.

b) Right-click and drag to pan the model.

c) Use mouse scrollwheel to zoom the model.

d) Click F to fit the model in the modeling


window.

Step 3

Find the 3 parts that need repair

a) Model Browser > Double-click on Parts to open Part Browser.


b) Quickly find the parts using the Search bar in the Part Browser with
the help of the Intellisense.
c) Type “HUB” and press Enter.
d) Click to select HUB2 part > Right-click > Isolate Only or I.

e) Repeat previous steps to isolate the following parts, including the one
you isolated in Step 3d: "MC - spring coil - R - FT" and "MC - control
arm 2-Rubber-RR-L ".

Hints:
• Press and hold Ctrl select the 3 parts displayed at the same time.
• Use F to Fit View.
• Use C to change Entity Selector to Components and J to Show Adjacent.
• Use H to Hide and A to Show All.
