Wedding Program Flow

Pre-Ceremony

Guest Arrival (1-2 hours before the ceremony)

Guests arrive and are greeted by ushers.

Light background music playing.

Guests can sign the guestbook and find their seats.

Pre-Ceremony Photos (Optional)

Bridal party and family photos before the ceremony.

Groom and groomsmen may also have a few pre-ceremony photos taken.

Ceremony

1. Prelude (15-20 minutes)

Background music playing as guests are seated.

The officiant may welcome the guests.

2. Processional (5-10 minutes)

Bridal party entrance:

Bridesmaids and groomsmen walk down the aisle.

Flower girl and ring bearer walk down the aisle.

Bride’s entrance: The bride walks down the aisle, typically accompanied by a parent or other important
figure.

3. Opening Remarks (2-3 minutes)

Officiant welcomes everyone and may say a few words about marriage.

4. Exchange of Vows and Rings (5-10 minutes)

The couple exchanges vows and rings.


Officiant pronounces the couple married.

5. Unity Ceremony (Optional, 5 minutes)

Candle lighting, sand pouring, or any symbolic unity ceremony the couple chooses.

6. Pronouncement of Marriage (2-3 minutes)

Officiant announces the couple as husband and wife.

Couple shares their first kiss as a married couple.

7. Recessional (5 minutes)

The couple exits, followed by the bridal party.

Guests may applaud or cheer.

Reception

1. Cocktail Hour (30-60 minutes)
