Fundamental Concepts of Physics

Introduction
Physics is the branch of science that deals with the study of matter, energy,

and their interactions. It is fundamental to understanding natural phenomena

and is applied in various fields, including engineering, medicine, and space exploration.

1. Mechanics
Mechanics is the study of motion and forces. It is divided into:

- Kinematics: The study of motion without considering forces.

- Dynamics: The study of motion and the forces causing it.

- Statics: The study of forces in equilibrium.

Newton's Laws of Motion

1. First Law: An object remains at rest or in uniform motion unless acted upon by an external force.

2. Second Law: Force equals mass times acceleration (F = ma).

3. Third Law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

2. Electromagnetism
Electromagnetism is the study of electric and magnetic fields. It includes:

- Electrostatics: The study of charges at rest.

- Magnetism: The study of magnetic forces and fields.

- Electrodynamics: The study of moving charges and their interactions.

3. Thermodynamics
Thermodynamics deals with heat and energy transfer. The key laws are:

- First Law: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.

- Second Law: Entropy of an isolated system always increases.

- Third Law: As temperature approaches absolute zero, entropy approaches a constant.
