SAP Community Attachments Guidelines

▪ SAP Community guidelines DO NOT allow for


document attachments (.docx, .pdf, .zip) to be added
to the Community in any post or group
▪ Due to this guideline, none of the document
attachments that were in posts or groups were able to
be migrated from our former SF Community
▪ Image files (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, etc.) ARE allowed to be
added to blog posts, questions, and groups
▪ As a workaround for documents, many SAP
employees use the SAP Digital Library (DAM) to
host/link documents in posts
Managed Tags in SAP Community

▪ Managed Tags are SAP Products and features assigned


to questions, blogs, etc.

▪ Required: Members must select at least one SAP 1


Managed Tag (and no more than seven) when
publishing blog posts, discussions, and asking
questions.

▪ Managed tags are helpful when searching

▪ You can subscribe to any managed tag in the entire


Community or in Q&A only, blogs only, etc.

2. Change the drop-down to ‘Managed tags’, and search ‘SAP
SuccessFactors’
3. Choose one of the managed tags
4. Confirm the location to search and click ‘Subscribe’
SAP Community Profile – Login Instructions
IMPORTANT: A Universal ID with an email address and S-user ID linked to it is necessary to create a
Community profile. You will need to use this login/profile to access any private or gated content within
the Community. Please refer to this guide for details: Important SAP SuccessFactors Customer Login
Instructions.

To Login to SAP Community:


1. Access the Human Capital Management landing page: https://community.sap.com/t5/human-capital-
management/ct-p/hcm (or any community.sap.com web page)
2. Click on the avatar on the top right of the screen

3. Enter your Universal ID email address, then click 3


the ‘Next’ button
4. Select the S-user ID account linked to your 4
Universal ID to use to login to the Community
- Note: You need to use your S-User account to see
all private SuccessFactors areas

5. Now you should be able to access all content,


including the private SAP SuccessFactors
Customer Corner, Human Capital Management
Q&A, and Blogs, linked from the Human Capital
Management landing page.

If you have any issues with your Universal ID, or connecting


your S-User ID, contact [email protected]
SAP Community Profile – Change Username

▪ Login to your Community profile to engage with


other Community members and experts – in
Q&A, blogs, user groups, events, access private
SuccessFactors content, etc.

▪ To view your profile, and edit your settings and


subscriptions:
a. Click your avatar on the top right to login
b. Click the top avatar to access the menu
c. Select ‘Settings’ from the avatar menu

▪ Please review these key settings:


1. Change Username (Display Name)
- Go to Personal <Display Name
- You can use up to 15 characters, an underscore,
but no periods, spaces, or email addresses.
- Add Display Name and click the ‘Change display
name’ button to save

2. Change your Time zone


- Access My Settings < Preferences < Preference
Options <Time zone
- Click the arrow on the right side of the Time zone field,
choose a new time zone, and click the ‘Save’ button
3. Change your Language
- Access My Settings < Preferences < Preference
Options < Language
- Click the arrow on the right side of the Language field,
choose a new language, and click the ‘Save’ button
- The currently available languages include: Spanish
(Latin American), Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), and
English

4. Adjust Notifications
- Access My Settings < Subscriptions &
Notifications < Notification Settings
- To ensure that you receive email
notifications for Q&A, blogs, and
groups that you are subscribed to,
make sure you uncheck this setting
and save:
• ‘Ignore posts and review that I’ve
already read’
- You can also change the frequency of
your email notifications for several
different types of content
- After you make changes, click the
‘Save’ button
New Human Capital Management area

▪ The former Products menu was changed to


‘Products and Technology’

▪ SAP SuccessFactors Customer Corner,


Blogs, and Q&A (Forum) areas are now
found under Human Capital Management
o Access tiles for Q&A, Blogs, and Customer
Corner under ‘Boards’

▪ To get notifications when new content is


added – click the 3-dot Options menu to the
right, and select ‘Subscribe’

title to navigate to the previous screen

▪ SAP SuccessFactors Customer Corner is a private/gated area


for relevant, sensitive content where authentication is needed
for SAP customers, partners, and employees

▪ To get notifications when new content is added – click the 3-dot


Options menu to the right, and select ‘Subscribe’

▪ Content that is private/gated in the SAP SuccessFactors


Customer Corner:
o Product and Customer Updates – private product/resources blogs
o Q&A (Forum) Archive – archived (read-only) questions and
answers from the former SuccessFactors Community (before 2023)
o Innovation Alerts – information related to product-related changes,
deprecations, etc.
o Empowerment Center – information and resources that you can
use throughout your customer journey including access to both the
Customer Events and Compass newsletters and archives
o Process Library – valuable information, leading practices, and
definitions of your HR processes and implementation
o Patches – information relevant to upcoming patch windows, review
of recent enhancements to fix bugs and improve system stability
Where Customers Ask Forum Questions

▪ Customers should ask all SuccessFactors product


questions in the Human Capital Management
(HCM) Q&A (Forum)

▪ To get notifications when new content is added –


click the 3-dot Options menu to the right, and select

How to Add a New Forum Question
▪ Follow these steps to add a Question:
1. Go to HCM Q&A
2. Start typing your question (subject) under ‘Ask a
Question’
o The system will search for posts with those words to
find an answer before you add a new question
o Click the ‘Continue’ button
3. Add your question detail in the Body
4. *Required*: Add ‘Managed Tag’
o As you start typing a product name, you will see
options – choose the SAP SuccessFactors
product(s) related to your question
5. Add a Label (good practice to add to help with
search) (ex. 2H 2023 Release)
6. Optional: Add an attachment (permitted types:
jpg, gif, png, xml, txt, jpeg, jpe)
7. Check the ‘Email me when someone replies’ box
so you are notified of any replies
8. Click the ‘Post’ button
Where Customers Subscribe to Product Questions & Answers

▪ You can subscribe to be notified when


someone asks or answers a question with a
specific Managed Tag
o Click the 3-dot Options menu to the right, and
select ‘Subscribe’

▪ Each product page includes links to a specific


Managed Tag Q&A (ex. Learning HCM Q&A
under Questions & Answers section)
▪ All product pages are linked from ‘All SAP
SuccessFactors Products’ page:
