Task: Assignment – Jobs and Occupations

Today, on our first day of class in New York, we met three fascinating classmates. First,
there is Lucas Pereira, a 25-year-old from Brazil. He works as a photographer and is here
to improve his English so he can communicate better with his clients. We also met Amina
Khan, a 22-year-old student from Pakistan. She is a software engineer and told us that she
wants to learn English to access better job opportunities in the future. Finally, there is
Tomas Müller, a 27-year-old from Germany who works as a chef. He aspires to open his
own restaurant and needs to perfect his English to be able to interact with customers, and I
am Edwin Vasquez Cabrera, a UTP student excited to take on new opportunities. We are
all excited to learn together and share our experiences, it is sure to be a great semester!
