Reason and Prerequisites

The end of support dates for Oracle are not known.

Solution

The following table lists the end-of-support dates for the various versions of
the Oracle database (Client & Server). The dates are as communicated by the
corresponding vendor and may be subject to chance.

Attention:
The support dates listed below refer to the named major Oracle versions in
general. For individual patch sets of those major versions the patch
provisioning process may stop significantly earlier. During the Standard
Maintenance phase Oracle provides patches only for the last two of the currently
released patch sets of a major release. In order to receive full support for a
specific Oracle patch set you therefore need to ensure that you are at least on
one of those two latest currently available patch sets. During the Extended
Maintenace phase Oracle usually provides support only for the last patch set of
the corresponding major Oracle version.
You find details about the current patch provisioning status of specific patch
sets in the corresponding note for a certain Oracle patch set version (e.g. note
1949250 for 11.2.0.4).
Comment:
This information is also important in the context of Early Watch Report results
you may receive. The support status you receive in the Early Watch report
regarding your database version takes only the major release support dates into
account. This means you get a 'green' status flag even if your individual patch
set level is outdated regarding Oracle patch support. In addition to the Early
Watch Report result you therefore need to check in the corresponding patch set
note whether your currently used patch set is still in the Oracle patch
provisioning mode.
