Consequent upon the receipt of indent/ requisition from the Public Works (R&B)
Department, vide indent No. PWD-Adm/122/2021 (Comp. No. 118431)dated: 06.04.2022, the
Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), advertised 855 posts of Junior
Engineer (Civil), Public Works (R&B) Department, UT Cadre for making direct recruitment to
these posts as per the following breakup:

Accordingly, the Final Selection List for these posts of Junior Engineer (Civil),
was notified vide No. JKSSB-Scry/2/2024-03 (E-7390977) dated 21.02.2024. Further, the
Waiting List for the aforesaid posts was also notified vide Notification No. KSSB-Scry/2/2024
03 (E-7390977) dated 24.06.2024, and subsequently forwarded to Public Works (R&B)
Department for further course of action.

After issuance of Waiting List, arepresentation was received from a candidate

namely Mr. Nissar Ahmad Wani, wherein he has represented that his name is not reflected in
the waiting list issued by the JKSSB for the post of JE Civil (PWD), even though he is

possessing higher Marks (42.75) than last candidate selected under EWS category in the
Waiting List; and
 Whereas, on the basis of Board decision, the Document Verification Committee
was constituted vide Order No. 263-sSB of 2024 dated 15.07,2024, and the candidate was
called for DV on 16.07.2024. As the candidate was found eligible under EWS category, the

Further, the Selection Committee, so constituted having regard to the merit or

candidates prepared the Revised Waiting List in respect of these posts of Junior Engineer
(Civil), under EWS Category.

Consequent upon approval of the Board in its 293rd Board Meeting held on
26.12.2024, the Revised Wait List under EWS Category was notified vide Notification No.
JKSSB-Scry/2/2024-03 (E-7390977) dated 12.02.2025, as the only change was oCCurring
under the EWS category on account of consideration of the candidature of Mr. Nissar Ahmed
Wani.

Accordingly, the undersigned is directed to forward herewith the Revised

Waiting List for the aforesaid posts of Junior Engineer (Civil), UT Cadre, Public Works (R&8)
Department, advertised vide Notification No. 06 of 2022 dated 11.11.2022, Item No.201, as
per Annexure-A, with the request to proceed in the matter accordingly.

The above Revised Waiting List shall be

petition(s)/OA(S), any, pending disposal before any competent Court of jurisdiction, The

be the responsibility of the Indenting
Department/ Appointing Authority.
 The Selection of the candidates in the Revised Wait List has been made on the
basis of Self-declaration/ Certiflcates submitted by them and if at any stage, it comes to the
light that any candidate(s) has submitted false information or has secured selection on the
basis of fake documents/ certificates, the selection shall be liable to cancellation at any stage
and appropriate criminal proceedings against such candidate/s may kindly be initiated.
