1. Install HF Radio Programming Application.


2. Run the installed application.
3. Under the “Plan Info” tab, assign the author’s name e.g. NASS.
4. Under the “Plan Info” state the description e.g. EX - HARD ROCK.
5. Then click on save icon (located at the tools bar).

6. A dialogue box will pup-up, select the location you want to save the file
and type the file name (the name you wish to use in saving your programming
e.g. EX HARD ROCK).

7. Then click save.

8. After saving, select “Channels”.


9. Under “Channels”, in the channel field, click the drop-down menu (to
display the list of programable channels).

10. Select the channel to be programmed e.g. 001.

12. Repeat steps 9 to 11 by the number of channels to be programmed. (Note:


channel 001 to 100 operate on 3G+, ALE and FIX mode while channel 101
downward operate on FIX and 3G mode)

13. In the Settings section, insert the Rx Frequency, it will automatically


appear in Tx Frequency space.

15. All the channels defined will display by the right-hand side of the screen.
16. Move to “Channel Groups” tab.

17. Set Channel Group by selecting the channel group number to be set.

19. In the Channel Group Properties, set the group name e.g. NAV.
20. Choose the mode from the three available modes (ALE, 3G
4538/HCMAC and 3G+ (ALE/4538)).

21. The channel group members will appear (by the left-hand side of the
screen) base on the RX Frequency defined in Step 13.
22. Select all the frequency that appear and click on add.
23. For them to appear at the right-hand side of the screen.

25. Move to “Stations” to set the stations.


26. Input Station Name (The location of the station can be use as the name
of the station e.g. APAPA).

27. Then click on Define.


28. The name defines will appear by the right-hand side of the screen.
29. Type the description of the station e.g. CAB.
30. Insert the 3G/ARQ Call Sign e.g. 0A.
31. Insert the ALE Default Self Address e.g. 0A.
32. Repeat steps 26 – 31 according to the number of stations to be
programmed.

33. all the stations should be showing by the right-hand side of the screen as
shown in the screenshot bellow.

35. Select “Keys”.


36. Checkmark the checkbox below the screen to Enable Unrestricted Key
Operations.

37. A pup-up message will appear telling you that no database password has
been detected and asking if you will like to create a new password, select Yes.

38. enter your new password (must not be less than six (6) characters).

40. it will prompt you to confirm your password by re-entering it, type the
same password you typed earlier.

be made.

want, it will be automatically generated with equal spacing).
64. All the channels generated will be displayed and the total Frequency in
the list will be shown beside the list.

67. Type the net name you wish to use e.g. NAS.

70. Select all the stations previously defined and add them.

73. Checkmark Mode Enable to enable Fix mode.
74. Input the fix mode name e.g. SAB.
75. Click on Add.
76. The defined Fix name will appear under.
77. Select the channel to be allotted to the preset Fix mode.
78. Select Encryption type, Encryption key and Modem Preset.
79. Repeat steps 74 – 78 to configure the remaining Channel.

82. Checkmark Mode Enable to enable Hop mode.

channel group and also activate one of the plans by selecting Yes while you
deactivate other one by selecting No (note that only one plan can the active a
time).

shown in the image bellow, then your plan data is valid and ready for
deployment.

103. But if one or two is crossed red in the plan validation pup-up page as
shown in the image bellow, then error has been detected in your configuration
and you need to go through your configuration for adjustments.
