HOLIDAY HOME WORK FOR CLASS – IX

1)ENGLISH:- 1. Listen to one of Sudha Murthy 's videos and present your views in 100-120 words.
Guidelines
1. Mention the URL of the video.
2. Give a suitable title to the paragraph.
3. Write your work in your class work.
4. You may have to redo the work if your work is not found original.

2) MATHEMATICS:- 1. Frame 5 multiple choice questions from the chapter Number System. (Write on A4
size paper along with 4 options.)
2. Art Integration: Make an art work using spiral roots.

3) Science:- Physics: Design a working model explaining a concept of physics.


Preferable if your model gives an innovative idea to solve any problem of our society.
Biology: Project given on topic “Natural resources”.
Guidelines are given in the class work.

4) Social Studies:- I TOPIC: Disaster Management


Description of the topic: Read the chapter Disaster management thoroughly and do a project on it.
Points to be covered
Chapter3: Introduction of Disaster
Chapter4: Specific hazards and mitigation
Chapter5: Preventing common manmade disasters
Instructions:-
• Your project should be handwritten and make it as attractive as possible.
• The project should have a cover page with all the required details i.e Name of the student, class,
section and school details.
• Do your project on A4 size sheets with required pictures also and the maximum pages should
not exceed more than 15 pages
• Submit your project on reopening day.

II Do any one of the following .

(a) Visit any Historical place or Heritage site during this vacation and,
* Write about the importance of that place
* What did you like about the place
* How can we save our heritage places and what is your contribution in that.
* In case you do not visit any then,
(b) Write about any Mythological stories in your village that has been celebrated from years. how it
is celebrated and why do you think world should know about it.
(c) Any festival or ritual which is been celebrated only in your family and youthink others should
know about it. How do you celebrate that festival or ritual?
(d) Any Belief which has connection with science and not superstition.
(e) Any article in the house or surroundings which has heritage value, write about it.

(plural)using different nouns (पुुंजललङ्गशब्द )and different verbs(धात)ु
Write in A4 size papers with cover page.

Note: i) All the students will note that the above listed home-work should be completed in legible
handwriting with appropriate information and pictures.

ii) Home works and projects should be duly submitted to the concerned subject teachers on re-opening
day without fail.

iii) Internal marks will be allotted based on the punctuality in submission and quality of the work done
by the student.
