The passage discusses how to make felt finger puppets by cutting out shapes from felt and assembling them with glue or thread. Templates are provided on subsequent pages to cut out puppet parts like heads, ears and bodies.

Materials needed include felt in various colors, googly eyes, feathers, thread, buttons and glue or a hot glue gun. Scissors are also needed.

The instructions say that pieces that stick out from the edges of the body like ears or feathers should be sandwiched between the two body pieces by gluing them in place on one piece first before gluing the other body piece on top.

Felt Finger Puppets

You will need:
Felt in various colors googly eyes (7 mm) feathers, heavy thread, buttons, etc. scissors fabric glue or a hot glue gun

Notes: This craft is designed for teens or adults to make for younger children. If young children are helping with this craft, an adult should supervise the use of scissors and glue gun. If these are being made for very young children the googly eyes should not be used: eyes can be cut from felt and glued on instead. Instructions:
1. Cut out felt shapes for each puppet using the templates on the following pages. 2. Refer to the picture for placement of ears, beaks, etc.. 3. Ears, feathers, or any other piece that stick out from the edges of the body should be sandwiched between the two body pieces. The easiest way to do this is to figure out their placement on one body piece, glue them in place, and then glue the other body piece in place. 4. Be creative! Use the owl body, scallop the bottom of the wings, cut it out of black felt, and you have a bat. Or cut the basic body out of a crazy color, add spots and three googly eyes, and you have an alien. There are no limits!
