Trigonometry Task Cards With QR Codes

This document contains a Trigonometry Review activity with 20 task cards designed to help students practice finding sine, cosine, and tangent ratios, as well as solving problems related to angles of elevation and depression. It includes instructions for setting up the activity, using QR codes for answer verification, and provides a student worksheet and answer key. The tasks require the application of the Pythagorean Theorem for finding missing side lengths.

TASK CARD ACTIVITY

TRIGONOMETRY REVIEW
TASK cARDS
with or without QR Codes!
Objective: To practice finding sine, cosine, and tangent ratios, find missing side and angle measures,
and solve problems related to angle of elevation and angle of depression. The Pythagorean Theorem
is required on a couple problems in order to find a missing side length to complete a ratio.

Directions:
1) Print, cut, and laminate the 20 task cards. Also, copy enough recording worksheets for each
student. These are the ways I have run this activity:

• Place a card at each station and have students move in groups of 3-4 from station to
station after approximately 4 minutes. (This way you only have to copy one set of cards)

• Students work in pairs and are given a card set. They work together to answer each card.
You will need to print, cut, and laminate many sets. I typically prefer this because it leads
to more one-on-one discussion.

2) They may check their answers by scanning the QR code on the card. A mobile device is required
with a QR scanner app. An internet connection is not required to scan the code. It’s very simple to
set up, feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Includes student worksheet, 20 task cards, and answer key!
