VISTAS – ACADEMIC BANK OF CREDITS ID CREATION

STEP by STEP Procedure


To Create ABC Id, the student should first create a DigiLocker Account
Step 1:Visit the DigiLockerPortal at https://www.digilocker.gov.in, if you are the existing
user, Click SIGN IN button on the top corner (Proceed with Step.5). If you are a new user,
click SIGN UP button.

Step 2:Fill-in all the required information, and set six digit login pin (ddmmyy) for
additional security and click the Submit button (Type in your Full Name & Date of Birth as
printed on the Aadhaar card)

Enter OTP sent to registered Mobile number linked with Aadhaar and click the Submit
button

Step 3:Aadhaar verification is Mandatory. Enter the Aadhaar number and click the Next
button

Step 4:Aadhaar linked Mobile will get OTP, enter the OTP and click the Submit button

Note: At this stage, you have created DigiLocker Account. Pl. remember/save your 6
digit security pin for Login in future)
Step 5:After Submit action, the following home page will appear with Aadhaar linked
Name & Photo of the student.Click the Join now button of the Academic Bank of Credits
Banner.

Step 6:Enter the required details, Gender (Male or Female), Admission Year (Admitted
Year), Identity Type (Registration Number), Identity Value (Your Exam Registration
Number), and Institution Name (Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced
Studies, Chennai). Tick the check box and click the Get Document button.

Under “Identity Type” you have to select Registration Number and click the OK button

Under Institution Name search the name “VELS”, select the name “Vels Institute of
Science, Technology and Advanced Studies, Chennai and click the OK button

Step 7: Once entered all the details, tick the check box and click the Get Document
button.

A Confirmation message stating that “Your request has been submitted” will be prompted
next

Step 8: Once hit the “Get Document”,the following Issued Documents Page will appear.
Once Click the ABC ID Tab, your ABC ID card will appear with your Name, DOB, Gender,
ABC ID.

Step 9: After generating ABC ID,the students is required to provide the following details
to the respective HODs for record keeping:
Aadhar Card No. ABC ID Mail id
