🔹 Activity 1: Complete the sentences with the correct form of reported speech.

📖 Story: A Strange Phone Call

Last night, Mark received a strange phone call. A woman said, "Be careful! Something strange will
happen tomorrow!" Mark asked, "Who is this?" but the woman didn't answer. Instead, she said,
"You will understand soon." Then, she hung up the phone. The next day, Mark saw a newspaper
headline: "A meteor shower will be visible tonight." Mark thought, "Was this what she meant?"

🔹 Activity 10: Writing - Reported Speech Diary Entry

Imagine you had an interesting conversation with someone today. Write a diary entry in reported
speech about what the person told you.

 Example:

Today, I met an old friend from school. She told me that she had moved to another city. She said
that she loved her new job but that she missed our town. She asked if I still lived in the same house,
and I told her that I did. She invited me to visit her soon, and I said that I would love to.

🔹 Activity 11: Speaking - Reported Gossip Game

Work in a group.

 The first student whispers a sentence to the second student.


 The second student reports what was said to the third student.
 Continue until the last student repeats the sentence out loud.
 Compare how much the sentence changed!
