= 1 kΩ and C = 1 µF. Determine:

o (a) The steady-state voltage across the capacitor.


o (b) The phase shift between input and output.

14. Time Constant of an RL Circuit


A coil of inductance 2 H and resistance 10 Ω is connected in series with a
50V DC source. Determine:

o (a) The time constant of the circuit.


o (b) The current in the circuit after 0.1 s.
o (c) The final steady-state current.

15. A 100 mH inductor with an internal resistance of 5 Ω is connected in series


with a 20V power supply and a 10 Ω resistor. Find:

o (a) The energy stored in the inductor at 5 ms.


o (b) The power dissipated in the resistor at that moment.
