What is Data integration with base and calc using libre office?
Using Libre Office you can connect Libre Office Base(database) capabilities with libre office
Calc(Spread sheet) capabilities. Here you can transfer your spreadsheet data to a table in your
base database.
importing Calc Spreadsheet to Base Database Table :
1. Save spreadsheet with .dbf extension (to dBase file).
2. Close calcs and open Libre office Base.
3. Now choose the option to connect to an existing database in the select data wizard.
4. You can see a dropdown below the option to select database , from it choose dBase.
5. Click next
6. Copy and paste the path to the dBase file .
7. In last screen select register database for me and Open database for editing.
8. Click finish
9. Now you can see a table created with the name as that of the dBase file.
10. Double click the table , you will see the cals spreadsheet data is imported to table in
base.
