Participate and Assist

Having these guide questions in mind, consult your Resource Teacher on the possible assistance
or participation that you can do to help her/him in doing the classroom routines. Complete the
matrix for the routines that you can employ before, during and after classes in the
classroom/remote learning to ensure order and discipline in your classes. List down the
problems which you have encountered while implementing these routines.

The following are the issues I’ve come into when putting these routines into practice:
 When their teacher calls their names, some students are too scared to answer the given
question or even to participate in the recitation.
 Some of the students don’t take the initiative to adhere to our procedures, such as
arriving late for meetings.
 Some student are going in front during the discussion because of the PowerPoint
Presentation that is not readable.

NOTICE
After doing your classroom routines and formulating your procedures, state what you noticed
by answering the following questions:
1. How did you feel after employing your classroom routines and establishing your
procedures in the classroom/remote learning?
 Following the implementation of my classroom procedures and the development
of my remote learning/classroom protocol. When I know that this will be the
beginning of effective classroom management for meaningful learning, I feel at
ease. Encounters in the classroom. However, there were times when I felt
demoralized when I observed that certain pupils fail to internalize their role as
learners.
2. How did your students respond to your classroom routines and procedures?
 According to their responses, they are in agreement with the classroom’s
routines and procedures, and I observed their enthusiasm for complying to and
practicing them in class, despite the fact that some students are not doing so.
However, prior to that, the majority of students demonstrated a greater level of

interest by seeking clarification on our procedures and routines through
questions.

3. What was the feedback of your Resource Teacher on your classroom routines and
procedures?
 By the time I teach the students, my Resource Teacher is not around because
he’s busy about something related to the event of the school.

4. Was there a change in the classroom environment/teaching-learning process after you

have implemented your classroom routines and procedures?
 Yes, I have seen that when the classroom is organized according to procedures
and routines, the class operates more efficiently, unnecessary behavior is
reduced, and every activity is effective in promoting learning. Additionally,
students are becoming better organized in the classroom.

5. What was the feedback of your Resource Teacher on your classroom routines and
procedures?
 I ask our resource teacher if some of the routines I have in the matrix are okay,
and he says that’s great. He adds that the class should have an energizer or
icebreaker.

ANALYZE
1. What factors/conditions prompted you to establish those classroom routines and
procedures?
 The factor that motivated me to do those kind of routines an procedure is that,
the students are more comfortable with that kind of routines and they are more
likely to participate and enjoy my teaching.
2. Was there a marked improvement in classroom management after employing your
classroom routines?
 Yes, we have improved since implementing my classroom routine in the
following ways: we begin class on time; I am able to deliver my lesson effectively
because I am not distracted as much; students’ good behavior in the classroom
has greatly improved.
3. Did the teaching-learning process improve? Justify your answer.
 Yes. By following these procedures and routines, students become more aware
of what they are expected to do in class. This helps to ensure that time is not
wasted and that the class starts off well each day. Additionally, it teaches
students self-discipline, such as how to be organized from their assigned tasks,
ask politely, and be prepared for class. Because the teacher can present the
lesson properly while the students are actively participating in the class, those
sets of routines and procedures posters for effective classroom management
greatly aid us in running the class efficiently and having a meaningful teaching-
learning experience.

REFLECT
What insights have you gained while doing this learning episode?
 As I worked on this episode, I recalled all of my elementary, high school, and
college instructors. I now understand how crucial all of the routines and
procedures they use with us are to preserving both good behavior and the
smooth operation of the class. Therefore, in order to create appropriate routines

and procedures for the class, I, as a future teacher, realized that I must think
more deeply and understand what expectations I should have for my students. In
order to teach them how to follow these routines and procedures, I also need to
make sure that the students understand them. In this manner, they can practice
them on their own day by day, but I have to closely monitor them so that I can
correct those who didn’t do it correctly at the end of the day. Additionally, I
discovered that by allowing my students to brainstorm, they can help establish
efficient routines and procedures for their behavior because they believe their
opinions are valued in the classroom.

Work On My Artifacts
Take some snapshots of your routine in the classroom or in remote learning and tell something
about them. You may also write down the procedures you have formulated and explain the
reasons for these.

The
routines we

in our

teacher are
implied in

four images, and they are also present in my
routines, which are shown in the final image. We can both observe those routines before,
during, and after class, which is beneficial because, based on my observations of our resource
teacher’s class, he delivers his lesson on time and with excellent quality. I observed the class’s
structure from the beginning to the end. Therefore, I believe that my own procedures and
routines will also help me in the future to keep the classroom in order.
