3205 ST Python Programming

GROUP PROJECT

Instructions
1. Presentations will carry 20 Marks and 20 Marks for participating in Group supervision.
2. A Group should not exceed 10 members

Data Analysis Project.


Having successfully gone through the Python Programming Language, Jupyter Notebook and
Pandas Library training, you are now ready to work with big data while applying the different
techniques you have acquired.

Use python and analytics functions to interrogate the data given to you and derive insights about
it. You will be required to include most of the functions you learnt. Using functions that were not
in the lecture scope will even earn your team higher marks.

You will be expected to submit;

1. A final report of not more than 10 pages including;


 An introduction about your dataset. (5 Marks)
 The key objectives for analyzing your data. (10 Marks)
 Features (columns) you analyzed and why you chose them. (10 Marks)
 Processes and techniques, you used and why you chose to use them. (Also include
pictures and explanations of your data before and after cleaning it.) (15 Marks)

 Well annotated screenshots of the visualizations (plots/tables) you’ve generated.
(10 Marks)
 Deductions/conclusions for your data. (5 Marks)
2. Your script files. (10 Marks)

Note:

 This is Group Work and every member should be actively involved in doing it.
 The project will be submitted on the examination date.
 Every Group will be supervised at least three times. Supervision is mainly to track your
progress and guide you where you’re having challenges.
 Lastly, you will have presentations from 10th to 14th February, 2025.
