PUNJAB ENGINEERING COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH

Assignment-1
Programme: B.Tech. (Civil Engineering)
Course Name: Structural Analysis-II
Course Code: CEN 4002

S.No Question
1 Analyse the two span continuous beam using Slope deflection method and draw
Shear force and bending moment diagrams. Young’s modulus is constant throughout
the beam.

2 Analyse the beam using slope deflection method and draw the bending moment
diagram. Support B settles by 2 mm, EI= 7500 kN/m2.

3. Analyse the frame shown in figure by slope deflection method and draw the bending
moment diagram. Flexural rigidity (EI) is same for all members.

4. Analyse the continuous beam using slope deflection method, if joint B sinks by 10
mm. Given EI=4000 kNm2. Also draw the bending moment diagram.
5. Analyse the frame shown in the figure using slope deflection method and draw the
bending moment diagram.
