Lab 1: Erase Data Safely

Objective:

Learn how to securely delete data using Eraser software.

Steps:

1. Download and install Eraser software from https://eraser.heidi.ie/.

2. Create a new folder named "Sample Folder".

3. Add files of at least 1GB in size to the folder (e.g., images, videos, documents).

4. Open Eraser and select "Erase Schedule".

5. Add the "Sample Folder" to the task list, choose the erasure method and number of passes.

6. Click "OK" to start the deletion process.

7. Verify deletion using recovery software to ensure the data is unrecoverable.

Lab 2: Recover Deleted Data

Objective:

Learn how to recover deleted data using Recuva software.

Steps:

1. Download and install Recuva from https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva.

4. Choose the files you want to recover and click "Recover".
