A story is fiction, and a good story has an interesting.

It has:

How can I make it good?
When writing a story, the purpose is to entertain the reader, just like when you read a novel you
expect to be entertained. A cool way to entertain is to create suspense.

• Using adjectives and adverbs is very important.

• Adding some direct speech improves your story, so learn how to do that correctly.
• Use the past simple and past perfect to tell the basic information, and the past
continuous to explain what was happening in the background.
• Avoid using either the present or the future in your story.
• Using contrast linkers gets better marks, so connect the second paragraph with the
third paragraph with the word HOWEVER.
• Using time linkers helps to get better marks, so put them into your story whenever
possible. Some possible time linkers are: When, as soon as, suddenly, immediately,
before, until While, after that, the next day.
