Module 6 Assignment

Please describe the nursing and interpersonal teams that that operate in this facility/ unit

Patient and family care is provided, evaluated, and approached through mutually

beneficial partnerships between healthcare professionals, patients, and families. It focuses on

collaboration in the reform of relationships among people of all ages, at all levels of care, and in

a variety of medical settings. Patients and families define "family," as well as hospital and family

participation and decision-making. Individual and family control, as well as health and well-

being, are important goals. This viewpoint stems from the belief that patients and families are

valuable allies in the pursuit of quality and security, not only in direct care but also in quality

improvement, safety initiatives, professional health education, investigations, and facility design

and development. Better health outcomes, better experiences for patients and families, higher

clinical and staff satisfaction, and more efficient resource allocation are all advantages of patient

and family care.

Can you provide examples of nursing practice that has been changed in the last year based

on the current best evidence.

Nursing best practices are critical for optimal health. Patients who have a bachelor's

degree in nursing benefit from a combination of proven education and best practices in

healthcare. The evidence-based curriculum is based on research, science, clinical experience, and

expert opinions. Nurses will gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this

demanding and ever-changing field of health care by taking these courses. In their daily work,

nurses must follow best practices.

Please identify the impact of change within your organization and your role as a leader in

this change process

Changes in your personal care routine can help you identify the best ways to

communicate and improve the quality of your care. It gives them more independence. Not only

does this benefit the patient, but it also encourages him to participate in decision-making. The

person's attention is focused on personal care, as the name implies. You do not tailor your service

to your preferences and expectations. During difficult times, patients can maintain their dignity

and autonomy in this manner.

The organization's financial and human resource strategy for providing patient-centered,

high-quality, low-cost care should be described. By changing the unit, health and social care

workers have been trained to provide personalized care. It explains why it is critical to tailor your

care to a person's specific needs and desires, as well as how this benefits the entire health-care

system. Caregivers frequently lose their autonomy and jeopardize their dignity. Personal care

allows you to maintain their dignity by respecting their wishes with compassion and empathy.

You must collaborate with other healthcare and social care workers and services to provide

consistent personal care. Otherwise, if you switch services or caregivers, you'll have to re-

establish your understanding of the patient's personal needs and desires. Meanwhile, the patient

would go without the care he or she required.

What do you consider your biggest challenge as a leader

The hardest task for leaders that I have experienced is to get to know each team member

individually. Yes, I believe so. The challenge will take a while, but I look forward to starting. I
4

enjoy being part of the lives of my coworkers. Employees with more commitment are, in my

opinion, more productive. Keeping moral standards and avoiding burnout are two further

challenges. As a result, morality can have a significant impact on any business, but the

consequences for the nursing sector are particularly serious. On the internet there are numerous

stories of grieved nurses who have to do too little work. Low morals and burnout are

jeopardizing patient safety, making it difficult to keep good employees. Employees refusing to

leave the unit may get exhausted emotionally and physically (Barasteh, et al.,2021).

Caregivers have a unique opportunity to improve the moral quality of their teams and

prevent burnout. Strong relationships with nursing team members can be built and their concerns

and the rewarding success recognized and reacted to to make them feel appreciated and avoid

burnout.

What do you love most about your job

People who have a compassionate, caring, and sharp heart should pursue a career. For me,

I am a nurse who adores her job. You have most likely heard at least one story about a touching

moment at work. As a nurse I have the opportunity to train our patients and their families to

become nurses. I'm relieved to see that a patient understands their disease's treatment and

progression (Williamson, et al.,2020). Caregivers can assist in clarifying and relieving a

confusing or stressful situation.

Another reason why I love my job is that I enjoy working with new nurses as a mentor.

Pairing has a big impact, and it's great to see a nurse I helped train all by herself. We are

constantly teaching and learning from one another. As a nurse, I also enjoy advocating for my
5

patients. I try to advocate for, challenge, and inspire my patients, as well as provide them with

the level of care that I would expect if I were in their shoes. We have a real opportunity to

influence people's lives beautifully and positively, whether you celebrate your breathing machine

or spend an end-of-life night at a patient's bed.

Why did you choose this job

In my career, I wanted to do something challenging and interesting that has a daily

impact on people's lives. As a nurse, you are in charge of many aspects of patient care, which I

find fascinating. The candidate also emphasizes the importance of the patient's well-being.

Furthermore, I chose nursing as a career path because I enjoy learning new things. As a nurse, I

am constantly pushing myself to keep up with medical trends and training so that I can provide

the best care to my patients. My coworkers and patients teach me something new every day as a

nurse, which motivates me to learn more about the techniques and procedures.

What other kind of nursing/ other job did you get

I have held medical positions like the health administrator, where in addition to my

professional experience, I was responsible for managing a health facility. They can work in a

hospital or health office, where they work for employees, budget management, patient care and

day-to-day operations (Segal, 2018). Health service managers are similar to office managers as

they have a background in healthcare and this is an important role for nurses. Health care

administrators can also recommend how to improve corporate policies and procedures based on

their knowledge of the industry.

6

Also, I work as a medical scientist, enabling me to learn more about medicine, the human

body and drug interactions through my medical education. More research is needed to improve

diagnosis, therapy and a better understanding of human health. Caregivers can learn more, test

their skills and improve their skills through their research involvement.

How would you describe your company's culture

My company's culture is engaging, in my opinion. Most importantly, they are enthusiastic

about their work because it corresponds to their passions. I would also argue that it's difficult

because it implies that employees are pushed by their work experience to maximize the potential

of their skills. Finally, it is collaborative because employees believe they can take charge of their

work and improve their own results.

How would you explain your role in the admission and staffing process?

The employee plan outlines which positions, jobs, and/or roles the company will require

in the coming year, as well as how they will be organized within the company, including who

will be assigned to them and how they will be assigned. Patients' acceptance, Coordination of

activities necessary to provide ongoing care to patients who require long-term treatment and

frequent hospitalization. The nurse provides the specific medical treatment prescribed by the

doctor as well as the nursing system that the nurse follows to meet the needs of patients. The

nurse keeps track of the patient's responses throughout his stay.

I am in charge of developing and implementing a formal staffing plan as a nurse. Nurse-

to-patient ratios that are too strict may not be the best option for your hospital. On the other hand,

a formal staffing plan ensures that each patient is cared for by the most qualified nurse. A staff
7

plan is a unit- and shift-based planning strategy that allows each department to provide consistent

care. When a strategy is implemented, health organizations can ensure that decisions made by

staff are based on the most common factors, such as patient acuity, the number of admissions and

discharges, and each nurse's expertise.

In order to reduce sales, I also have a responsibility to address the underlying causes of

sales. Regardless of the other measures taken, staff shortages will inevitably occur if an

organization loses its staff in a short period of time. A child's decision to leave a hospital is

primarily motivated by poor working conditions and inadequate pay. To help reduce turnover,

hospital administration should be considered. Three examples include limiting required overtime,

delegating paperwork to skilled workers, and implementing cutting-edge workflow technology.

Compensation is based on experience and is competitive.

What is your leadership style?

We would rather be led by someone who shares our values! Others are influenced by the

leader's example. Optimism, charisma, and warmth are all essential ingredients to encourage

others to work together for a common purpose (Zhu et al.,2018).

My first approach to leadership is to persuade others to share their vision. I've noticed

that a motivating leader brings his followers together to achieve a common goal. I must be able

to articulate clearly the vision of the organization as a visionary leader. The ability of a leader to

convince followers to work together towards a common goal. "Leading by example" is a term for

idealized leadership. Even though the idealized leader gives priority to the task, people come to
8

raise the bar. They promote growth at all levels by demonstrating more action-oriented effective

authority. People want to be like them, simply to put it.
