 Formatting spreadsheet text and data
 Perform data analysis using sorting and filtering tools.
 Perform data mining using the IF function.
 Create references between tables and search for information with VLOOKUP.
 Perform data analysis using PivotTables.

Pre-Lab:
 Read all materials for week 3 and complete the lab practice.

Deliverables
 Submit a copy of the graded quiz completed as part of the guided project.
 Submit the excel workbook produced as an outcome of the guided project.
 Submit the project certificate issued by Coursera together with the link to it.
 Submit a Word document containing the proposed scenario for using VLOOKUP function.

 Use a web browser to access ‘Coursera website’ (https://www.coursera.org). Then sign
in using your AUBH email.
 Complete the guided project titled ‘Introduction to Data Analysis using Microsoft Excel’
found on the following link:

 Save a copy of the graded quiz and upload it to Canvas.


 Save a copy of the created excel workbook as labAssignment2_YourID.docx and upload
it to Canvas.
 Download a copy of the earned certificate and upload it to Canvas. Moreover, share the
link to the certificate.
 Add a copy of the earned certificate into your graduate portfolio.
 Reflecting on what you have learned from the completed Coursera course, think of a
situation relevant to your interests or career goals where the VLOOKUP function could
be useful. This could be related to:
1. A retail business
2. A sports team
3. A personal project or hobby
4. Any other area of your choice
Create a new Word document and write a scenario that indicates the two tables you
would create and how you would use the VLOOKUP function to retrieve information
from one table to another. Please submit a copy of this Word document to Canvas.
