In this activity, you will track all the activities that you do in a day and then classify them

Activity Description based on whether the task was urgent and important.
This sheet has been filled with dummy tasks and entries to show you how the sheet will

Tracking Sheet Description
Section Description
Time Slots This column shows 24 hours of the day broken down into individual hours.
Use this column to enter the task that you complete each hour. Corresponding to each
Task hour, enter the main task you spent the majority of the hour on.
Use this column to record if the task that you did was urgent. Use the drop-down menu
to record whether the task was important. Enter 'Y' if the task is urgent, and enter 'N; if
Urgent the task is not urgent.
Use this column to record if the task that you did was important. Use the drop-down
menu to record whether the task was important. Enter 'Y' if the task is important and
Important enter 'N; if the task is not important.
Urgent-Important The matrix by the side of the tracking sheet will auto-populate based on how you fill the
Matrix sheet. This will show you the distribution of tasks by 'urgent' and 'Important' categories.
Conclusion
At the end of the day, you can look at the urgent-important matrix and see what percentage of your time was
spent on tasks that are urgent and important, urgent and not important, not urgent and important, and not urgent
and not important.

Very often, we spend more time than necessary on tasks that are not urgent and not important. Use the findings
from this sheet to figure out if the current distribution of your time is working for you. It will help you identify exactly
where your time is being spent.
