Chapter III - New

The document outlines the research methodology for a study using a phenomenological design to explore the experiences of five Grade 10 E.I.M students at Lantungan National High School. It details the research environment, sampling procedure, data gathering through interviews, and data analysis techniques, emphasizing the importance of categorizing data into themes for insights into hazards and risks in Electrical Installation and Maintenance. The study aims to identify common hazards and assess compliance with regulations through various data sources and analysis methods.

CHAPTER III

Research Methodology

All chapter covers by the research design, research environment, research

subjects/participants, research instruments, sampling procedure, data gathering
procedure and data analysis.

Research Design

The researcher choose the Phenomenology Design. Researchers use

phenomenological research design to understand a phenomenon's universal nature
by exploring the views of those who have experienced it.

Research Environment

This study will be conducted in Lantungan National high School located at

Aurora Zamboanga del Sur.

Research Subjects/Participants

The participants will be five Grade 10 E.I.M students in Lantungan National

high School.

Research Instrument

The researcher collecting all the data that they gathering in the interview.

Sampling Procedure

The sampling method we use is Purposive Sampling. The researchers will

only choose five (5) Grade 10 E.I.M Students in Lantungan National high School.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researcher must be five (5) respondents. The interview conducted in

4th quarter of 2nd semester. The researcher must be requisted the five (5)
respondents to explain all the importance about in the study. After collecting all data,
the researcher comes up with the conclusion and recommended for this study.

Data Analysis

According to Moore and McCabe(2005) this type of research whereby data

gathered is categorized in themes, so as to be able to be comparable.Data analysis
can provide evaluable insights into hazard and risk in Electrical Installation and
Maintenance (E.I.M). Same of the key data sources and analysis technique that can
be used to better understand hazard and risk in E.I.M include. Examining historical
incident such as accident reports, miss reports, and equipment failure data, can help
identify common hazard and risk associated with E.I.M . Conducting risk
assessment, such as hazard identification and risk analysis, can help identify
potential hazards and assess the likelihood and severity of associated risks.
Analyzing compliance data such as inspection report and audit findings, can help
identify areas where E.I.M practices may not be in compliance with relevant
regulations and standards. Equipment reliability analysis: Analyzing equipment
reliability data, such and severity of associated risks. Analyzing compliance data
such as inspection report and audit findings, can help identify areas where E.I.M
practices may not be in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
