analyzed in the lab

collected/observed

order_proc_id decimal(18,0) Unique identifier for the ordered procedure.

order_results_line int The line number of each result component within each ordered
procedure.

order_status varchar(50) The lab's order status (Cancelled, Resulted, Pending, etc.)

order_time timestamp The date/time when the order was placed.

order_type varchar(254) The order type for this lab test - Blood Bank, Lab, Microbiology,
Pathology & Cytology, POC Testing, POC Testing Device

pat_enc_csn_id decimal(18,0) Unique identifier for the encounter associated with the
procedure result

pat_id varchar(18) The unique patient identifier

proc_cat_id varchar(254) The unique identifier for the procedure category

proc_cat_name varchar(200) Name of the procedure category

proc_code varchar(40) Procedure Code

proc_id decimal(18,0) Unique identifier for the procedure

proc_name varchar(100) Procedure name

ref_normal_vals varchar(254) This is a free-text item which allows you to enter a reference
range without tying it to a "low" or "high" value. For example, it
could be a string ("negative"), a list of choices ("Yellow,
orange"), or a descriptive range ("Less than 20").

reference_high varchar(50) The highest acceptable value for each result component. If the
value in this column is a number or structured numeric, the
numbers will be stored in M internal format, using a period as
the decimal separator.

reference_low varchar(50) The lowest acceptable value for each result component. If the
value in this column is a number or structured numeric, the
numbers will be stored in M internal format, using a period as
the decimal separator.

reference_unit varchar(100) The units for each result component value.

referring_prov_id varchar(18) Unique identifier of the provider who referred the order

referring_provider varchar(200) Name of the referring provider

result_flag varchar(50) HL7 flag code to mark each component result as abnormal. Any
value in this field not equal to 1 is considered abnormal.

result_in_range_yn varchar(1) A Yes/No category value to indicate whether a result has been

result_time timestamp The date and time the technician ran the tests for each order in
calendar format. NOTE: Concatenates the result date and
result time into a datetime format. If the time value is null, the
query will return 12:00 AM for a time.

sensitive_yn varchar(1) Y if this lab is considered sensitive/restricted - relating to HIV,


substance abuse, or mental health diagnoses

specimen_recv_time timestamp Date/time that the specimen was received

specimen_source varchar(254) Specimen source (Blood, Stool, Urine, etc.)

specimen_taken_time timestamp Date/time that the specimen was taken.

specimen_type varchar(254) Specimen type
