Plate 5-6

The document provides instructions for converting an isometric view to orthographic projection at a 1:2 scale. It outlines the steps for measuring, redrawing the figure in both tracing and drawing paper, and emphasizes the importance of using specific technical pens and pencils for accuracy. Finally, it notes the requirement for neatness in the submission of both plates for evaluation.

Activity Instruction: Converting ISO to Orthographic Projection (1:2 Scale)

1. PRINT THIS PDF file TO A4 SIZE BONDPAPER and examine the ISO view of the figure.
Measure the dimensions of the figure using appropriate drawing materials, then calculate
the scaled dimensions by multiplying each measurement by 2 (1:2 scaling ratio).

2. For Plate 5 (Tracing Paper), redraw the figure in orthographic projection, including the
front view (FV), top view (TV), and side view (SV), using the scaled dimensions. Use a 0.3,
0.4-, or 0.5-mm technical pen for the lines and a 0.1- or 0.2-mm technical pen for the
lettering.

3. For Plate 6 (Drawing Paper), redraw the orthographic projection using the scaled
dimensions. Use a 3H pencil for the lines and an HB pencil for the lettering.

4. Submit both Plate 5 (Tracing Paper) and Plate 6 (Drawing Paper) for evaluation, ensuring
that the orthographic views (front, top, and side) are clearly and accurately represented,
and the drawing and lettering are neat and precise.

5. Measurement for the TITLE and VIEW ORIENTATION will be 1cm.

Note: Follow the correct scaling, use the appropriate tools for lines and lettering, and maintain
accuracy in all views.
