Sources of Data
Quantitative Reasoning-1
Data:-
Data is a collection of information
gathered by observations,
measurements, research or analysis.
They may consist of facts, numbers,
names, figures or even description of
things. Data is organized in the form of
graphs, charts or tables.
Importance of Data:-
Data allows organizations to measure
the effectiveness of a given strategy:
When strategies are put into place to
overcome a challenge, collecting data
will allow you to determine how well
your solution is performing, and
whether or not your approach needs to
be tweaked or changed over the
long-term.
How do we collect data?
Some common data collection methods
include surveys, interviews,
observations, focus groups,
experiments, and secondary data
analysis. The data collected through
these methods can then be analyzed
and used to support or refute research
hypotheses and draw conclusions
about the study's subject matter.
Sources of Data:-
There are two sources of data.
Primary Data Source
Secondary Data Source
Types of Data:-
There are two main types of data.
1.Quantitative Data(Examples include
age, height, and the number of visitors
a website gets per day).
2.Qualitative Data(Examples include a
person's name, hair color, and
occupation).
