Faculty Name : Mr. Mahendran P. Designation/Dept: AP/MECH
Sub. Name : Engineering Drawing Sub. code : 24GE13101
Sem / Year : I/I Department: Agri/ pharma Academic Year: 2024-2025

1. To draw an ellipse with the distance of the focus from the directrix at 50mm and
eccentricity = 2/3 (Eccentricity method). Draw the tangent and normal at any point on
the curve.

2. To draw a parabola with the distance of the focus from the directrix at 50mm
(Eccentricity method). Draw the tangent and normal at any point on the curve.

3. To draw a hyperbola with the distance of the focus from the directrix at 50mm and e=3/2
(Eccentricity method) draw the tangent and normal at any point on the curve.

4. A circle of diameter 50 mm rolls on a straight line without slipping. Trace the locus of a
point on the circumference of the circler rolling for one complete revolution. Name the
curve, draw the tangent and normal at any point on the curve.

5. Draw an involute of a circle of 50mm diameter. Also, draw a tangent and normal at any
point on the curve.

6. Draw the path traced by a point at the end of a string, when it is wound around a square
of size 30 mm.
