APPENDIX-1 SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE UPGRADE PROCESS

1.Software upgrade
1.1 Forced to upgrade:
①Copy the m2e. bin format software in the root directory of the U disk.
②Press and hold the power button, then insert the adapter, and release the button when
the progress bar is displayed on the interface. Pay attention to check the fan should
be able to turn properly. The upgrade will be automatically restarted.

1.2 Upgrade after boot:


①After power on, insert the U disk that copied the bin file into the USB interface of
the projectorAfter power on, insert the U disk that copied the bin file into the USB
interface of the projector.
② After inserting the USB flash drive,there will be
a software version upgrade prompt. Select Confirm to
upgrade.

1.3 Firmware upgrade:


U disk upgrade: insert the U disk with the M2E.bin
upgrade file, turn on the projector, and then
click settings → firmware update →software
update by USB.

1.4 OTA upgrade:
When a new version is updated, the projector is connected to the network, and there
will be a pop-up prompt. Press the prompt to select to update to the latest version. Be
careful not to power down during the upgrade

①A Type-C data transmission line (USB
A at one end and Type-C at
the other end) for a PC using Windows 10
system.USB A interface is inserted into the PC,

3.2.Auto focus calibration
After replacing the Main Board, Focus Board or TOF Board, you need to recalibrate the
autofocus.
①The projector is 1.5m away from the projection screen,enter the page 0 in Factory
mode.Then select" TOF Test"→"Auto focus calibration". Click the "Auto-focus
Calibration" option with the remote control.
During calibration, the focus will be clearly blurred. After calibration, it
will display "Calibration OK, and display the TOF distance value and mot
or step size. The distance is between 1480-1550mm.
②If the autofocus effect is not in the sharpest state after the autofocus calibration
is completed. You can debug with "To the right To compensation" and "To the left To
compensation" To bring the screen To its clearest state.

3.3. Autokeystone calibration


After replacing the Main Board or the Optical Engine, the "Autokeystone" needs to be
recalibrated.
①The projector Bracing Frame is pressed to the end, and the three Rubber Foot are
rotated to the end; Place in the specified position of the horizontal test bench, plug
in the power cord and start the machine. Preheat for 3 minutes after starting.
② After preheating, enter "Settings" → "Basic Settings" → Keystone". Set the "V
Keystone" value to "0" and the " H Keystone " value to "0". Disable "4 Corner
Adjustment" and"Auto Keystone".
③Open factory mode and enter "Page 0", set the cursor to "Angle Cal 0-90 Offset", and
press the right button of the remote control to perform automatic trapezoidal
calibration (Figure). After calibration, the AutoKeyStone should be Y.

2.Assemble Main Board:
① Insert the Main Board’s IO in the IO Cover,then put the Main Board(RSPL N.o:11) in the Top
Cover(RSPL N.o:14) like picture 1.
② Assemble the screw(PA2.0*6.0) (RSPL N.o:37) *7 as picture 2,

③ Insert the Antenna’s connector in the jack,and be sure A to A/B to B like the following photo.

Notice:If you replaced the Main Board,please entry the factory mode and do the Autokeystone
calibration,Auto focus calibration and Color coordinate adjustment(Ref to P26:3.Note:factory
menu enter way/Required Settings after hardware replacement).

3.Assemble Focus Board Module:


①Insert the Focus Board Wire’s connector(RSPL N.o:23) in the jack,see the detail as following
photo.

②Put the Focus Board Module in the Top Cover,position like following photo,and assemble
the screw(PA2.0*6.0) (RSPL N.o:37) *2.

4.Assemble TOF Board Module:


①Insert the TOF Board Wire’s connector(RSPL N.o:22) in the jack,see the detail as following
photo.

② assemble the Rubber Cap cover the TOF sensor ,see the detail as following photo 3.
③ Put the TOF Board Module in the Top Cover,position like following photo2,and assemble
the screw(PM1.4*3.5) (RSPL N.o:36) *1.

④ Put two wires in the hook ,see the detail A as following photo 5.
⑤ Insert two connector in the jack as following photo 6.

5.Assemble Speaker:
① Put the Speaker(RSPL N.o:33) into the Top Cover,the position like following photo,and
assemble the Screw A(PWA1.6*6.0) (RSPL N.o:35) *3.
② Insert the connector B in the jack.

6.Assemble Optical Engine Module:
① Paste Gasket Sponge(RSPL N.o:48) on Top Cover & Main Board like picture 1.
②Put Opitical Engine Module on the Main Board carefully, and assemble the screw
(PA2.0*6.0) (RSPL N.o:37) *6, see the detail as picture 2.

③ Insert the DMD Flat Cable’s connector A/Motor & Actuator Flat Cable’s connector B into
jack,see the detail as picture 3.
④ Put the Magnet Ring Frame on the Main Board,the position as the picture 4, and assemble
the screw(PA2.0*6.0) (RSPL N.o:37) *3.

7.Assemble Fan:
① Paste the Sink Foam(RSPL N.o:45) on the Main Board,make the Foam’s side against
the Sink like picture 1.
② Paste the Gasket Foam(RSPL N.o:47) on the A position,paste Led Foam(RSPL N.o:46)
on the B position like picture 2.

③Put the Fan(RSPL N.o:39) on the Main Board like the following picture, and assemble the
screw A(PA2.0*6.0) (RSPL N.o:37) *3,Insert fan’s connector B into the jack,and paste the tape
C(RSPL N.o:49) on the Fan & Sink,ensure the tape covered all the gap between Fan & Sink .

8.Assemble R/G/B/PB wire:
① Put the B&PB wire’s Magnet Ring into the Frame and inser they connector into the jack of
Main Board,see the detail of picture 1.

Main Board,see the detail of picture 2.

① Put the Bottom Cover(RSPL N.o:15) into the Top Cover,make the Bracing Frame and throw
