Trish: What interesting places do you
recommend visiting?

Jan: Last summer, I visited an

interesting place in Ontario, Canada. It’s
called Upper Canada Village. I learned
how people lived in the 1860s.
Everything in the town looks like it did
back then! For example, there was
a tiny one-room schoolhouse, a church
and a small bakery. A tour guide took us
around the town in a wagon attached to
a horse because that’s how people
used to get around!

Cass: I prefer getting out into nature!

Two years ago, my dad and I went to
the Rocky Mountains. These are huge
mountains in Western Canada and the
US. One morning, we hiked up one of
these, called Fairview Mountain, in
Alberta, Canada. It’s more than 2,700
metres high. The hike was difficult, and
it was frightening to be so high up! We
got to the top of the mountain just in
time to see the sun come up. We rested
and enjoyed the view of beautiful Lake
Louise below.

Dan: Last winter, I visited an
