1) Why do we use Open Office Writer?
Ans: Open office Writer is a word processor used to create, edit, format and print a document.

2) Explain any two options present in the Format menu of Open Office Writer.
Ans: Options present in the Format menu are:
a) Character….- The Formatting related to the character like Font, Font Effects, Position, Hyperlink and
Background is present here.
b) Paragraph….- The Formatting related to paragraph like Indents & Spacing, Alignments, Text Flow, Outline
& Numbering, Tabs, Drop Caps and Borders can be easily done using this option.

3) Describe three different ways to run a presentation.


Ans: You can run a slide show in three different ways.
a) By pressing the F5 function key.
b) By going to the Slide Show menu - Slide show option.
c) By using the Slide Show tool on the Toolbar.

4) What is Slide Transition? Name any two effects.


Ans: The motion effect of the slides during the slide show is the Slide Transition. It is basically the effect
given to a slide that decided how a slide appears on the screen during the slide show. Two Slide Transition
effects are Uncover Up and Wipe Right.
