Expected learning outcomes: This course provides basics of electromagnetic paradigm that strengthen the
scientific foundation and analytical understanding of students. It also helps students to tackle various
engineering problems related to fields, flux, density, flow, potential etc. Specifically, after going through
this course one can estimate electric and magnetic fields, potentials, energy for a given charge and current
configurations and have fair understanding of electromagnetic Maxwell’s equations in vacuum and linear
matter and can relate it to electromagnetic waves. Tutorials help students to make use of mathematical tools
learned during this course in various scientific and engineering problems.
