Art Movement

An art movement is a style or tendency in art defined by a common philosophy or goal followed by artists over a specific period of time. Abstract expressionism was a post-World War II American art movement aiming not to depict concrete subjects, but to express feelings using dots, lines, colors and shapes. Examples of influential abstract expressionist artworks include Three Musicians (1921) by a famous drawer, Composition X (1939) by Wassily Kandinsky composed of dots, shapes and lines, and Kandinsky's Composition IV (1911).

Abstract expressionism was an American postWorld War II art movement. The aim is not describing the concrete, by using dots, lines, colors and shapes to express different feelings.

Examples
Three Musicians (1921) , this drawing was draw by a famous drawer. This picture was also belong to Abstract expressionism

Composition X (1939) was draw by Wassily Kandinsky . You can see that it is composed of dots shapes and lines which is the three characteristic of Abstract expressionism. This drawing is called Composition lV (1911). It was another drawing of Wassily Kandinsky . It is also a famous drawing of Abstract expressionism .
